I don't think that the regular use of drugs is nearly as common as it is made out to be....thank goodness....There is, however, no shortage of users for that most popular and legal drug,alcohol.If you were to stack up the misery caused by legal mind-altering substances and compare that to the effects of illicit drugs,perhaps it would put the 'drug' issue into a different perspective. :smoka::smoker2: :smoka: :bandit: :bonghitte

Im pretty straight-edge. Ive never touched drugs, and I never will. Not even cigarettes or cigars.

Recently ive done some heavy drinking, but I didnt really like the end result and I dont think that it will become a regular thing.

i came to this thread to read what kind of drugs members have experimented with or do.... but what do i get?? A bunch of people sayin they don't do drugs

i used to always think that stoners were dirty people who just smoke wee all day, and they're stupid.
but it's so not true... i know several people with over a 3.8 GPA who smoke marijuana every day.
And like 75% of my friends smoke marijuana, and they're all preppy as hell.

and usually if you saw me smoking it, you'd see a group of kids wearing polo shirts, on a deck with a beer in one hand and a spliff in the other hand
not a group of dirty kids sitting around a bong

just to clarify that just cause someone smokes marijuana, doesn't mean they're any different than everybody else who doesn't (when they're not high lol )

but ive never done anything....smoked, drank, snorted, shot up or swallowed..its not for me. I like my mind, I intend on keeping it for a while...

also, Mr. T, about what Gangstarr said..some of it is true man. Im 19, i see this stuff alot. sure, there are your typical stoner white boys with long hair and baggy jeans...but today, its more universal. preppy guys, rich preppy guys...For instance, look at Harry...Princess Diana's son...he tried some budda...right? i mean, hes kinda high class i think. all im saying is, a good majority of people who do this stuff, arnt your typical drug user...

I went to an extremly expensive and upmarket private school.
It had lots of kids like G$ in it, and lots of smart kids who got great marks, and did really well in all elements of school.
Quite a few of them were also heavy users of drugs.
They smoked weed on a more than a regular basis, and still got the good grades.
So yes I agree with a lot of what G$ posted.

However, heres the kicker. Iv meet up with most of them 3-7 years after leaving school. NONE of the regular dope smokers are doing anything in life that amounts to anything.
Thier minds are totaly fucked up from all the weed they smoked in school. Most started University, and have now left, with I.Q.s so low they can't even get really basic manual labour jobs. They have all lost thier friends, thier girlfriends, and any respect they once had. The only reason they are still alive is thanks to thier rich parents who keep surporting them, in the false belief its all a phase.
Sadly its not, these guys have permently stuffed up thier lives, they will never amount to anything, all because they thought it was cool to smoke some weed. Yeah, man its not harming me they said. No, of course its not, it takes a few years for that to happen. And when it does its to late to turn back and repiar the damage.


Now, after all that, im actualy pro drugs. I see no reason why people shouldn't be allowed to take what ever mind altering substances they want.
I look on it as a modern form of natural selection. :evillaugh:

I think a lot of people would change their tunes if they had sons/daughters/brothers/sisters/close friends doing drugs. It's all perspective. I drink (not stupidly) on a regular basis, smoke a pack of cigarettes every month or two (not much, only parties and clubs blah, blah) and smoked weed a couple of times before I realised it was called dope for a reason. And I was nealry a father at 14 coz of it. Nuff sedd.

I beleave that anything to excess is bad, food, drink, smoke, and I do not beleave that I smoke bud in excess. Now perhaps I do and this is just my "drug addled mind" talking but if so I guess I'll just go to work, yes, I'm a pothead and I have a job, I'm Sys Admin and Network Advisor at South Central Bank. And keep going to class yes I'm a pothead and I still go to class with a Computer Information Systems Major, untill my brain dies and I become an IQless retard... Now there will come a time in my life when it is time to quit smoking weed every day. That is when I leave my childhood and go out into the world to start my career, and that day is rapidly aproching. Now I'm sure I will still smoke from time to time, but my life will call for me being ready and wide awake every morning, not tired and groggy from last night.

Sorry guys but I really dislike the stereotypes being thrown around here and I do not feel that I fit into them, now I am sure that my use has had some effect on my mind, but I have seen burnouts and I am not one of them, that is why I just happen to be awake at 7:30AM on this fine Tuesday morning having just installed a RAID 5 at work and am getting ready to go to my first classtoday

The main reason I chose not to do drugs was that my ex boyfriend (who was ALWAYS stoned) was always trying to pressure me into doing it. For anyone that knows me they’ll know how stubborn I am and if I’m pressured to do something that I don’t really want to I’ll just dig my heels in and never give in.

Now I choose not to because I just don't want to.
