hehe lucky you. i have a 4.0 right now in highschool.. and this is an accumulated 4.0... i've had it since freshman year and i'm just about to finish up my sophomore year... IF I get a good scholarship I might be able to get the EVO sooner, rather than later.

Question to you, Lancerz... That EVO VI vs. the TT Supra video on your site. Does that EVO VI have NOS or any other mods? Glad we could settle our argument... I dig the site.. u got a good thing going on there... late

As far as I know its a RS, thats why it hammered the TT Supra. I dont know the real history of that clip.

Amazing that you take such offence at the smart-alec response. Too bad School/college didn't emphasise (British spelling) too much on common sense or sense of humour. Or the fact that proper punctuation,.,; and speling is not a compulsory on the internet much less a newsgroup. Not very keeping in spirit. but good old fashioned flaming is.

Oh did I mention about my college education, my property investmentS, my job or my silver evo7 purchased with my own hard-earned money? Don't assume and please, as moderator, keep your sense of humour/humor.

Living life poor and dumb could be stupid but if you are poor and dumb in essence you could be stupid, for not trying to better yourself, but we all know that doesn't always happen.


Anyhow hooby id rather have a shitload of $$$, work in a cubicle wth a job i love, than be in debt with a nice job and an evo.

But i an see where you are coming from with that. I have alittle over 20,000 and regardless of how shitty my job is right now im getting the evo. I dont care. I haven't had a car since my first car at 16. im 21 now. I think i is ready for change. I would rather struggle for the Evo payments than not have the car of my dreams. Well im soon to awaken and the dream will be reality.

money ain't all of it either. don't get thinking it will fix anything that might be wrong or make much better. It is nice to be debt free and have a savings, but thats about as far as it can take you. My wife and I make about 100K combined. We live off about 40K of it. I drive a 95 GTI she drives a 98 Mazda. we live in a two bed room apartment.
(of course, i want an evo, she wants a new car, so the cars will change soon...) I'm only 23. I need no more, and don't want the pressure of a higher position ... for now...

College or a new car...

Let me put it this way: college does not insure that you will make any money. It's a fallicy perpetuated by people who want you to go to college. At 19, I was making more money than a co-worker that had 2 Bachelor's degrees. How stupid did she feel? Very. She was also in debt about 35000, while I owned everything free and clear.

This is not to say that you won't do fine but I want you to be prepared for what a lot of college grads experience. Many of them do not even find work in their field, and after a while, their degree is obsolete because the field has changed substantially while he/she was trying to break into that field. 'Look ma, I just wasted $50000 on a worthless education!'. Good luck to you, but I've found that poise and professionalism can get you just as far (unless a degree is a requirement) in the real world as the degree itself. I would suggest you take a good, hard look at your college motivations, and do what you feel will best serve you in the long run.

To clarify; I am NOT bagging on college! I have simply found too many people out there that go to college with no real goals, then they get out with a degree they don't use and a buttload of debt, to boot. Maybe living in the real world for a couple years will give you an idea about how you want to spend your time, as there is always time to go to college.

As far as buying an Evo; whichever way you decide to go, make sure you can afford it. Put money aside for maintenance and repairs before you purchase, as you never want to be out of money to fix a minor problem that can turn into a major headache if not fixed in a timely manner.

Sorry to ramble; I've been very opinionated lately.

It all just depends on what each one wants out of there lives.

I am happy where I am at. I could always find a use for more money, but do not feel a need to have more. Things that are too easily attainable seem to have little or no personal value to me >> money will not make me happier.

You shouldn't have said that in the first place though. It was a dumb comment to make, perhaps you should be the one growing up.

I never said you could get a "sweet job" right out of high school (although you can). I said I could get a sweet job with my education....I want to be a music producer....in my opinion it's a sweet job. It may not necessarily pay a lot, but it's all that I've ever wanted to do.

Average starting salaries don't mean jack. I've got about 20 friends that just graduated that will tell you the same thing. Nothing is garaunteed.

My whole thing is....I don't really care if I have a lot of debt right now, just as long as I know that I'll be able to pay it off, which I can and will. I go to a $25k/year college so either way I look at it, I'll be in a lot of debt after I get out of college.....might as well add an Evo onto it. I make enough $$$ now as a full time student to pay for loans, insurance, and an Evo (including $$$ for repairs), so why not go for it? Even if it means being in debt....
