MAFS = Mass air flow sensor, same as your "MAF", only with "S" on the end |

Re: turbo intake explained?
i htink ou are confusing yourself. i have never heard of a MAFS, it is either MAF [hotwire] or MAS [honeycomb]
do a search on MAF and MAFt. you will learn more. by venting you are releasing air from a closed system. closed being that all the air in it has been metered. thus, when you shift you will be in an induced rich situation and will cause backfires when you shift. also you may run into problems at idle, it will not hold idle and will stall in between shifts. i was able to run it vented after a bunch of basics, intake, full 3'' exhaust w/no cat, 25 fuel pump, boost controler, and a couple other littler ones. some guy's still have problems with idle and i had some pretty large backfires occaisionaly [fire in the night... lol] |

Re: turbo intake explained?
As far as I know there is no difference (someone correct me if I'm wrong). The only thing is that you can vent your BOV, which makes it MUCH louder.

Re: turbo intake explained?
If doing all that doesn't really do much other than make it louder......sounds like something to do if your bored.....and want it louder
