Not that I want to start anything with this comment, its not ment to offend anyone, but if US pilots are so good, how come during the gulf wars, we, your allies, lost more troops to friendly fire from US pilots then we did to the Iraqis??????? Surly with all the technology that planes have these days, pilots could tell friend from foe. Now I`m not saying that US pilots are bad cause they arnt but maybe the high "kill" ratio is just because of the sheer numbers of US pilots and planes compared to everyone else, and the apparent "blast everything in sight" mentality of US pilots. And before anyone has a go at me, this is just what we hear in the UK media.

The technology is ridiculously advanced, but it's still used by humans, and humans are always going to make stupid mistakes. I'm sure pilot experience has a big part to play in this too, as far as being able to recognize friend from foe. Not to mention that our troops are much better shots than a bunch of Iraqis.

Re: Eurofighter 2000 vs f-22

The Raptor kicks ass; it is way better then the lousy Hornet. I liked the YF-23 Black Widow that competed with the F-22 for ASF. I've heard rumours the F-23 might be used for a medium bomber role. I would like to see the F-35 vs the F-22, or perhaps an SU-37 or S-37. Those things fucking rock. What other planes can achieve a 110 degree A.O.A?
