Dont even think about it !!!!

Save your dollars and do the job correctly by buying some good aftermarket springs and shocks.

I'm running 215 40 17s. Car handles bumps nicely but not so nice with potholes ..but then what cars do ..unless you have bouncy wheels and 4x4 travel.

If you are looking for nice rims ask gforces.

Update ...the Stock shocks are beginning to go now, and the ride is getting a little bumpy. Car is still handling okay but I'm not sure it'll hold out for much longer. Two options from here ...find a good adjustible shock or switch to coilovers.
I'll let you know what I decide.

They ride very rough but thats what you need when you lower and for better handling...

they are 18X7.5 but I forgot the offset..sorry guys...I don't rub only a couple times when the tires were new...but smooth sailing now....I have stock struts and hopefully upgrade to the GAB but thats alittle too much money....the H&R springs supposedly drop about 1.7" in front and 1.5" in the rear....I'm guessing off the top of my head since its been like over a year now...but I could fit one finger in front and 1 1/2 in rear....I think its perfect but its your call...

I have had Eibach Pro-Kit Springs on my bmw e30 m3. The setup was pretty good on the street, although the car sometimes bottomed out on speed bumps (with 225/45/16 tires and 16x7.5 wheels). The track performace was decent, but not great. I switched to a set of full progressive race springs (200-700lbs/in), and was much happier at the track. BUT the Eibachs were a bit better on the street, and soaked up potholes well. Overall I would suggest them to most people who usually dont track their cars and want more cornering ability and a stiffer ride on the street. Upgrading your shocks is almost a must with the Eibachs, or any lowering springs though. Remeber that Shock valving has as much, if not more, to do with ride quality.

If you want the ultimate, I would look into H&R springs/coilovers, or Eibach Road Race springs if they are available.

I agree shocks are a must for any lowering and handling but its just so damn expensive and it can blow...more $$$ down the tube...so I'm waiting to see if any other companies make them for our P11 like KYB or something alittle bit cheaper than the GAB which are like $500 I believe...

That is a common problem with Pro-Kits. They lower the car, but they don't have enough spring rate to keep the car off the bump stops.

I switched to a set of full progressive race springs (200-700lbs/in), and was much happier at the track. BUT the Eibachs were a bit better on the street, and soaked up potholes well.

The Ground Control coilovers with KYB AGX ride better than Pro-Kits because they prevent bottoming. I'm running 340/275 in my P10 right now, but when I install the DET this weekend, I'll probably switch to 275/200. My only concern again is keeping it off the bump stops.

Remeber that Shock valving has as much, if not more, to do with ride quality.

Exactly right. Shocks, or dampers, should be matched to the springs. They control the oscillations of the spring and just how fast the suspension moves. Too loose and you bounce up and down to much. Too tight and you take a shot through the chassis. Even high rate springs can ride very nicely if the dampers are set correctly.

If you want the ultimate, I would look into H&R springs/coilovers, or Eibach Road Race springs if they are available.

H&R are not available. Right now only the Ground Controls are available for the P10. For the P11 you have a choice between GCs and Tein (Tien?). For the P11 you can get GAB, KYB, or even Konis. For the P10 right now it's just KYB or GAB unless you want to spend some time figuring out a Koni solution.

It's my belief that Japanese dampers are too hard on bounce and not hard enough on rebound. Eventually I want to put together a Koni solution. I think Konis have less bounce damping and more rebound damping. This should make the ride a bit less harsh.

Actually for the P11 there's more than parts for it than you mentioned...Nismo has shock and springs for the car (i believe it is made in conjunction with KYB) also, JIC has true coilover set up for the P11. I just got my set yesterday and i'll post pics and descriptions for the unit tonight.
