I've had mine for one year and it did take us a month or so to get the mileage up. We currently get 45 - 47 in the city and over 50 on the highway. Using the air conditioning changes things.

I love my 2005 Prius - if you're interested in a used one, let me know. I'm moving out of the country and have to part with mine.
