Re: You Are What You Drive

actually...dude you need to pull your head out of your ass and have a look at the specs for a second!

while the 88 camaro, with its 5L 170bhp v8 may seem fast to you, it's pushing 1400kg! CRAP!!!!!!!

in 1991 it gets a little more interesting with the 5.7 z28, 245bhp, (thats as much as a 93 MR2!!!) but its got to deal with 1500kg!!!

it would be fun to go back to 170hp, i might pull a couple of the ignition leads on my g/f's FTO and see if that does the trick, then i'll go find me a camaro in that and maybe have some fun. I don't think i'll bother in my car anymore cause i don't see the challenge... unless i find a well modified one.

Re: You Are What You Drive

well i'll assume since you don't seem to understand the term "power" then you won't understand power to weight ratio... or SI measurement, so big terms like accelleration would be difficult to comprehend too.
all i think i have is a JDM MR2 GT, from the factory it had 220-225hp and weighed 1240kg.
what i know is the camaro from my rear vision mirror was the same shape as yours, and had IROC written down the side, at the time i thought it was kinda cool but now i've looked at the specs i realise they are just all noise, bit like the owners i guess.

Re: Re: You Are What You Drive

TRD, why bother talking trash on someone else's ride? ... especially unprovoked? Any car can be made fast in a straight line. Speed simply costs money.

Pancho, way to follow TRDs lead into the land of meaningless, uniformed posts.

I assure you that my 11.7 sec turbo MR2 has taken many of Camaros, Firebirds, Mustangs, etc .... How many videos do you need to see?

Yes, I am fully aware there are many of those cars that are also faster than me, but you do not see me talking crap on anyone in here do you?

Why not open your mind and find out what other people are running before you start running off at the mouth? <--- directed at both of you.

Re: You Are What You Drive

Sorry

I was feeling edgy today. It just gets old seeing different car owners bash other car owners.

To me there is some simple stuff:
1. We all love cars
2. We ALL can learn a lot from each other
3. Anything (even a skateboard) can be made to go 10s in teh 1/4 mile. It just takes money.
4. Someone else is ALWAYS faster
5. 99% of kill stories online are bogus

Anyway ... let's teach other instead of screaming at each other.

Re: You Are What You Drive

dont make stupid generalizations like that. it just makes you sound like an idiot.

there are hundreds of american cars and mr2 could beat, especially if there were ANY corners involved.

so heres a generalization of my own
if you drive a camaro - you have a mullet haircut and and enjoy fornicating yourself with and iron stick when you not with your boyfriend (a rough trick named Jim)
