all i'm saying is that there are different sides to this story and obviously dodge hasn't made it 100% clear to the public considering what is going on with the situation.

Re: 300c

congratulations you just posted pictures of the 2003 magnum srt-8 prototype that then lost the supercharger and became the magnum rt.

this is exactly what i was talking about in my post, read it clearly next time. you're talking about a prototype that's 2 years old and won't be seeing production in its exact form. so now i am calling you wrong if that's the best you have to back up your claim of a supercharged 5.7 in the next srt-8. hell you still haven't offered up a good explanation as to why they'd spend hundred's of thousands of dollars to put that separate motor through emissions testing.

call your nearest dca rep or pick up the new motor trend. either way you'll get the info that i'm preaching and not the 2 year old news you are sporting.

jesus and i thought our techs were slow, look you just keep re-posting pictures of tha 2 year old prototype, you really think the factory car would have hard-piped intakes and two K&N filters hanging out in mid-air like that?? look at the headlights, those are the pre-production projectors in the black housings that never made it to production in that form.

see the difference now. quit posting 2 year old pics if you want me to believe your story. or just educate yourself, admit you're wrong about the whole thing, and we can move on.

i understand that, my point was that the car itself has been around since december of 2002 and is not a current prototype, but rather a pre-magnum-production showcar and not the current srt-8 test mules.

Re: 300c

I'm not a big fan of American cars, but the 300C is simply wonderfull ! I'm falling in love with this car !
I was hesitating between the Lancia Thésis and the Peugeot 607 to replace my BMW 530, now, I'll consider the 300C. I'll have to see the built quality and the handling. Do you know what it looks like versus the Peugeot, BMW, and Lancia ?

Re: 300c

Those are some interesting alternatives, are you European? The 300C is a top quality car with a lot of Mercedes-Benz parts and feel. I've yet to hear anything bad about that car, really! Enjoy the 300 if you decide to go for it.

The 300C and Magnum are super wicked cars - they're the pride and joy of the Brampton, Ontario assembly plant! Chrysler recently announced it will be adding a third shift to keep up with demand. Problem is (like with every hot new car) there is already way too many of these things on the road, not so much the Magnum but the 300 is everywhere. They’re so popular to begin with, but being a Canadian built car has made them all the more appealing for people who want to keep the local economy booming, plus national pride, etc…

I think Chrysler is brilliant for how they’re using and moreover marketing the new 5.7 HEMI. It’s very similar to how GM utilized the 5.7 LT1 back in the early 90’s as the engine of choice for their entire truck/SUV line, F-Body and large RWD sedan line. As mavisky already mentioned or alluded to in this post, going with one star engine is much more economical and strategically sound than having to maintain a spare parts bin for several different engines.

300c

Whether it's a Hemi or SRT the 300C is a great riding car. I wouldn't own one personally, but from what I see, a lot of men seem drawn to that car. Specifically men hoping to attain a certain "cool" image, and who are of Italian descent. LOL

It's just stylish and let it go at that.

Re: 300c

Just to settle some arguing on here, I've been to Daimler Chrysler Tech school very recently and was told by multiple instructors that the new Charger WILL offer a supercharged 6.1 Hemi. Not the 5.7. I also know for a fact that the 300C SRT 8 WILL have a NON supercharged 6.1 Hemi, But you should know that already if you are a chrysler tech(Samarai), cause they went over the whole car in last months' Master Tech and you can look on dealer connect and read the engine options for a 2005 300C (2.7/3.5/5.7/6.1)
