Re: what kind of amp do i need
you want 1500 at 2ohms or 3000 at 1 ohm

Re: what kind of amp do i need
"The Brutus 1500 doesn't push 1500watts rms at 1ohm, its a bogus rating. I have the same amp running 14.5volts at 1ohm getting only 1100watts rms. Alot of people are now finding out about this amp that it does not put out the rated power."
source is a little iffy

Re: what kind of amp do i need
I have also heard that the Hifonics amps are over rated, numerous times in fact. But I have heard that regardless they are still solid amps. I have heard that they are tested at 14.4 volts or something like that, which is not what your car will put out so in turn the RMS rating is highly in accurate. I'm still planning on buying one though.

im thinking two alphasonics that put out 1500rms @ 2 ohms (according to onlinecarstereo.com) each so that should be enough. but how do i get them hooked up? what exactly is bridging and should i do it?
