I'm trying to get ahold of a camera so you guys can check this out....weirdest things on this car...got it for cheap, with good mileage, and no engine problems so I was like shit!

Anyway, kid actually got around $50,000 from my understanding, bought the civic for $6,000, and did exterior mods for about $2,000...along with some racing seats.

Said he wanted to go again when he drops an H22 in it, and he got a $340 ticket haha.
WHAT $50,000? I'd buy a corvette or used nsx and mod that (or use tthe rest to pay insurance )

Turns out this is the scenario. I got shafted; took it down to a shop my friend goes to, some of you may have heard of HorsepowerFreaks, told me this was the case, and I got fuxxored. Thank god it was cheap. I think I'm gonna do something unique with my car now: B20 block with a Type R head. Sound good? Gonna take some cash and time.

doh. well if thats the case you better not rev that engine past 7. the stock redline is at 6.75 but you can stretch it out to 7K before you hit the true rev limiter. you might've notice this.

Haven't noticed it yet. It sounds like a VTEC is kickin in at like 6000 though, so I've pushed it to 7000 before. Not a good idea though?

considering that you rev a GSR up to 8K and that the LS can only rev to 7 K. goin over by 1K is generally not a good idea. since you have a LS engine in there, i would assume that you have a LS ECU in there as well. there should be no reason why it would let you rev past 7K. however they could also hack into the GS-R ECU and kept the GS-R ECU so it can rev to 8. however i would highly doubt anyone would put that much time into doin that if the car was goin to be just a driveble engine donor.

It redlines at 7500, but have never really put it that far up there. Had it at like 7200, and yes, it allowed me to past 7000...dunno. I'm going to get it looked at by a few more shops to see what they think, I'll let you know this weekend what is really goin on with this car.
