Re: performance 3.8L v-6
Jesus christ.
Don't go to intense, they have a horrible rep for their parts all breaking and costing people engines and trannys. firebirdv6.com fucking sucks. theres more fiction then fact there. Plus, how much faith do you have in a site that charges members $10 just to have the "privileges" of a signature and avatar. shoot on over to www.fullthrottlev6.com... there are people running n/a, cam only, heads/cam, nitrous, cam/nitrous, turbo, turbo/nitrous, supercharged, supercharged/nitrous, and at least 1 4.2L stroker in the works... search over there and you can fine whatever info you're lookign for. In terms of how strong the block is... Intense and ZZP both have their cars in the 9's on stock bottom ends. Nobody has ever found the power limits of the bottom end, and 9's are friggin fast. I'd recommend you browse thunder racing, TSP, abbott racing heads if you wanna do heads or cam (Also I will be running a TCI torque converter I purchased through them), UMI for suspension (spohn also makes quality stuff but UMI has better pricing), and then either TSP or PCM4Less for tuning unless you want to learn how to do it yourself, in which case pick up HPTuners. FWIW Swapping to a series 1 3800 is not a direct, easy swap. The only thing that's the same about those and the series 2's are the displacement and the fact that they're GM engines.

Re: performance 3.8L v-6
BTW stock for stock a 3.8 f-body destroys 3.8 stangs without breaking a sweat. Modified it's a little different, they have a much better aftermarket than us.
