the auto shifters are more rectangular in shape while the integra console is more rounder around the corners. you might be able to fit it inside if you remove the plastic trim around the shifter. and to make it look cleaner, just throw a boot on top of it.

Or instead of a boot,he could get some 1/8" black abs from a audio store and make a trim ring/plate to fit the shifter to the opening in the console so that it looks like its supposed to be there from the factory.I got a piece of it to mount something once,a 12"x12" sheet was like $8.
