Re: what year camaro?
poor poor korndogg.
anywho, a crate motor is an engine that is fully assembled, and shipped to your location (in a crate- get it?) ready to be installed. you can get em from just about anywhere: summit, jegs, edelbrock, gm performance parts...

Re: what year camaro?
Have you looked at the early 70s models at all?? Some have the nice round corvette style tail lights.
You dont need to buy a crate motor to make it go fast. If the car has a 350 in it, theres a good chance it can be rebuilt and you can make good power out of it. It would have a carb though and to upgrade to fuel injection could get a little expensive. If you were to go with an iroc you could get a later 80s with tuned port injection. I have one with about 165k miles and nothings been rebuilt and it still moves real well. |

Re: what year camaro?
man i would honestly go with a mid 70's and put a 383 stroker in it, that is a 350 thats been bored over 30 and a hot crank, and ofcourse ur gonna want a cam, and bs, but if not that i would go with the iroc-z dam stout, specially when u get to modding them, i have a bud who has a iroc-z thats pulling about a mid 9 1/4 mile time, its bad as hell! thats my opinion!!!!
