Re: 91 Accord SE - Are they pretty rare?

What the heck???? The same year but manual & motorized belts? How can that be? Makes no sense! You sure it's a 91? Hey, maybe I'm wrong and this ones a 90?

Heated seats? Where is the switch for them? Like said before (I think) the car is in my neighbors garage and didn't know it has them.

My wife has them (heated seats) in her Jeep Liberty and personally I think they are a waste but it's my wifes vehicle and I let her get what she wanted.

Another waste I think is 2 zone heat for driver & passenger....like the drivers heat doesn't work it's way over to the passanger!

Seat heater controls are two buttons right by the parking brake lever.

On a less positive note, my car is now leaking power steering fluid, which indicates to me that the whole rack may need to be replaced. I do know that the former owner drove it dry, so its not surprising that the seal may be badly cracked. I may not be up to this job myself, so it could be costly.

Ergh.

Re: 91 Accord SE - Are they pretty rare?

Hey Gaffer

My Toyota 4 runner had a PS leak and I tried this Lucas PS additive. At 1st it didn't do a thing (as usual more wasted $$ I thought) but after about 4 times of adding it it completely stopped it!! It's been not leaking about 3 months now. Took about 3 -4 months till it stopped leaking though and I'm sure thats not to say it will never leak again.
It's about 6.00 I think for a little plastic bottle.

Might be worth a try?....as long as it's compatable and I think it is with any.

Heck - that sounds like its worth a try. I have to hit the Canadian Tire anyway to get more power steering fluid, so I'll see if i can pick some of that stuff up. My only concern is thi requirement for "Honda brand only" liquid going into the reservoir. I'll check with Honda to see if a leak stopper would qualify. Good tip though, sir.

Re: 91 Accord SE - Are they pretty rare?

Today I had the radio on in my car. So I went to tur it off, but when I did it engaged the seat belt and caught me right around the middle (I was leaning through the window). It took me a little bit to get out. My friends just sat and laughed at me.
