when you disconnected the intake which also requires you disconnecting the MAS sensor. and by disconnecting the sensor without disconnecting the battery first sometimes the ECU gets confused and throws a check engine light. which is why i started the habbit of disconnecting the battery whenever i work under my hood now.

should be able to clear the CEL by disconnecting the battery.

He shouldn't have had to disconnect the intake or MAS if he were just connecting the mbc...if he did the dump tube hack at the same time, that might have triggered something. Try disconnecting the batter like RiceRocket says, and see if that clears the code; if not, that's when you go to autozone . It's funny how sometimes these things randomly happen when we are modding, yet they can be unassociated with any mods we do, just pure timing and luck!

thats true. i had to dissconect the maf becasue i did take my injen pipe off to easly get my needle nose pliars on the vac clamps, and to disconnect my bcs. im stupid for not dissconection my battery though. should always do it, i dont know what i was thinking.

You should actually disconnect the battery as seldom as possible. It just makes you drive for a couple days without optimum settings as the ECU relearns. I avoid it as much as possible. Better to have a logger handy so you can just clear the DTC without having to interupt power to the ECU

well, i did dissconnect the battery, worked. good enought, its monday tomarrow, it will be good for the stip by friday
