First time grey primer to find irregulations in the putty work. Second coat grey primer to cover all of it. Then white primer, one coat. After that 3 coats of Tamiya Yellow TS-16. Starting with a mist coat, then a coat that covers all, and after that a coat that glosses up during spraying, being carefull the paint doesn't start running.Did I say I didn't polished it yet? BTW, Jack The GTR, no more pics of the R1 until it's finished I think. Expect to see it completed within four weeks. Thanks for all your nice reply's. Keep up the good work everybody

Re: Progress --> Yellow R32
It's has been a while, but got some nice progress again. Progress is pretty slow as I'm working on three projects the same time and I'm very busy making my own subs and speakers
![]() So, body is polished, panellines and stuff are done. CF wing is on. I used Enkei NT03 rims and cut out the inner ring. With SNJ Polishing powder the effect is amazing. Furthermore, I'm busy changing the interior from racing to street. Floor is almost done. I don't want to scratchbuild the back seats so I'm just putting some nice selfmade subs there I forgot to add the beginning of the project, so I'll start with a flashback for those who are interested.![]() ![]() The seats are from two Calsonic R32's. With a yellow body and a -light-gray/red interior they'll look great. Used SAS CF on them. Next pic is of the subs. Lot of work to do still, but tell what you think of them. ![]() ![]() Well here's the finished body. Second pics of the back shows what propably will become the aluminium muffler of the car ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Well guys, tell me what you think. Cheers

Re: Progress --> Yellow R32
The self-made subs look verry good, also does the whole car. I'd like the first wheels even more, but hey, who am I?

Re: Re: Progress --> Yellow R32
Nice job! I like the body work on the R32 and the seats are kewl! I think the Muffler size is a bit on the big side. The exhaust color is awesome though.

Re: Progress --> Yellow R32
Very Nice, Body Work Is Nicely Done. Just Get The Exhuast Size Down Abit, Then It Should Be Perfect.

Re: Progress --> Yellow R32
Thanks for the nice comments guys. I know about the exhaust. I need to cut of the end that doesn't shine as much as the rest. I just made it this large to make it easier to polish with my dremel. So it will be a little shorter. The diameter is pretty good.

Re: Progress --> Yellow R32
Well, it's been a long long while, but I finally got some progress to report. Been a little busy playing NFSU2
The entire chassis is done. Aluminium muffler is placed, molded engine part from a R33 (as the real engine is swapped into that R33) and of course lowered. The brake discs are from a Raybrig NSX and I kept the wheels. The decals are printed with a ALPS printer, and guess how did that Thanks Steve, I adore them I think there might be a little to much decals on it, but well, I just couldn't stop decalling. The rear wing is off BTW, as the CF didn't look to well, and I thought it could be done better. Will be replaced as soon as the decal is on again. The pics might be a little fuzzy, but there's no change I'll get better as the sun is gone until march/april 2005. Damn clouds, rain, snow and all that other modeling killing kinds of weather!!! Well, here are the pics. Tell me what you think. ![]() ![]()

Hey,
Great work so far. Real nice job on the body kit. What did you use on the seats? They look like sued. Keep up the awsome work. Frank X. |
