Well, my knowledge of Marcos' is somewhat limited, but I suspect it is based on the Marcos Mantis. Why? Well, their models all look fairly similar, but the Mantis, I believe, is raced in a Mantis GT league. So, it would seem fitting that these Mantis racecars may have spread out a little.

Ok, its the mantis. Their other car is teh mantary, and it ain't it. Th estock Marcos uses a 4.6L ford V8, and a supercharged one with 400 or so hp.

If you think that it's not a JGTC car because it's not Japanese, remember that there are McLaren's and Lambos in that league too.

Yes, R&T (I think) did a story on it. Very interesting, especially the weight penalties. I'm just shocked the McLaren doesn't win more often. I would love to attend on of those races.

Yeah, the weight penalties are really cool. Makes for a great spectator sport. Lots of different winners, driving talent really is a plus.
