tcmaboy...yes, you should build according to intended use, but there are an endless number of compressor housings, turbine housings and wheels out there so you can find a turbo to do what ever you want. You say "if you want a drag queen or dyno car, a big turbo's fine"...sure. But then you say that for the street or track, a S/C is better. Why? Just get a smaller, quicker spooling turbo. It may even be possible to have the best of both worlds, low/no lag and huge power, if you research and design properly.
