Re: 94 Integra Turbo Vs Trans AM V8

Well I'm always interested in 1/8th mile runs since thats all I get to do. What's your best time in the 1/8th?

It's always a rush to beat something that is supposed to give you a hard time. Most 4-cyl guys go after V8 Mustangs and Camaros, the goal for us S-10 guys is beating a Lightning. Not such an easy feat even with turbos/superchargers. Gj.

Re: 94 Integra Turbo Vs Trans AM V8

well on an 1/8th I think my best time was around 9.3, do to the fact I dont have slicks and axles I need. I spin all through first, and second. An integra doesnt run well in short distances, so running on the street with a longer stretch and better traction gives me a greater advantage than it would running an 1/8th on the strip. And also I dont think the guy with the trans was as experienced as I am. Of course I could be wrong considering I donno the guy. It was close, and that was then and this is now. I dont gotta ride, cause im to busy replacing the old turbo motor. with a built 9 Sec B16 Turbo Motor.

Wait, what year was the T/A????

Not to knock your kill - your Integra beat a big V8 F-Body!

but...

I'd like to know if it was a 345 HP 5.7L LS1 T/A, or

a 190 HP 5.7L 4-barrel carb 2-tonne GTA pig.

Re: 94 Integra Turbo Vs Trans AM V8

I want to know what year T/A it was, your story seems a little flawed. I've been racing long enough to know that if get took by 10, then come back and win by two, that could only mean one of two things. Either, A) severe driver error, or B) you were sandbaging. I don't think you were sandbaging. Hey GT stang, I'm a little suprised that you didn't call BS on this one.

Re: 94 Integra Turbo Vs Trans AM V8

how much did you spend on everything that got you to beat that T/A? Just curious cause i lost to a supercharged (10ps1) GSR with a built motor by about a half a carlength when i was bone stock in a 94 LT1, he had spent about 8 grand in the aftermarket and i believe those cars are pretty expensive new 20,000+, i dont know

how fast is ur car in the 1/4 mile? a gsr using a greddy turbo kit costing $2600 on a stock motor running 8-9 psi is able to hit mid to high 13's on street tires. this guy here has a t3/t4 which is a bigger turbo than the greddy kit, so of course he should see better times.
