Re: What I Bring to the Table
Other brands arn't as good of quality. And that's just a cop out to purchasing cheaper items. You'll never ever find an aftermarket company, unless it's one that works closely with the Manufacturer such as Mugen, and Spoon that will make quality fitting parts. Can you even find the fog lights in replica? Hell no, and even if you could I still wouldn't buy it, as they wouldn't fit worth shit. LOL stolen! That's some funny shit, like someone is going to come along, and steal my fog lights! LOL I personally like the fact that I own the real deal, and not some knockoff that a million other kids have. It seperates my car from all the rest. And rotas are just as good, if your a cheap son of a bitch, and can't afford the real thing. Sure they might look the same, sure they might even weigh the same. But would I rather have something made from a quality aftermarket manufacturer that's been in the buisness for decades, or one that is out of the philipines? I wanted genuine parts period. If it be my Genuine Mugen Lip, Genuine Mugen Rims, Tein Suspension, etc. Do I care that my car is slow? Nope. It doesn't bother me one slight bit, and it shouldn't bother you. lol Why? Because with minimal modifications such as colder sparkplugs, intake, catback exhaust, 4-1 Header, and a 65 shot of nitrous I would blow the doors off of your average run of the mill B16s, and B18s. However seeing as my D16 has extremely low mileage, and hasn't given me a reason to swap as of yet, I honestly don't see a reason to do so. As I said by the end of this year it'll be running a far from stock B18C7.
As for the Miata guy, dude I would never make fun of white rims, because my second set of rims is a set of Powder Coated White Enkei NT03s. As for the Miata, yes now that is something to make fun of. Now that all of you are done bitching, how about you go watch The Fast and The Furious a couple of more times. Because I wouldn't be surprised if atleast one of you has some sort of glowing object on, or in there vehicle. |

There are no glowing objects on my car either, except for things like headlights and taillights of course. However, your so called "tech" section on your webpage consists only of how to install side marker lights? (the links no longer work by the way) Fast and the Furious indeed

Re: What I Bring to the Table
i want your fogs...but I agree, they are WAY too expensive. I'd rather go buy some clear ones and paint them yellow myself.

Re: Re: What I Bring to the Table
fuckin idiot.
people will steal anything including, headlights, taillights, sidemarkers and fogs...youre naive. ricochet just has an average run of the mill b16 straight from japan, you know the same motor that came in the jdm civics, the engine you should be spending your money on. who cares about expensive mugen rims if you cant utilize their light weight features anyway. with the money you spent on bullshit knick knacks you could be ripping off 13's with a b16. tell me the last time honda put nitous on a JDM civic? come on here flaming and youre gonna get torched.

![]() Anyways, I honestly didn't mean to turn this into a flame thread as your car definitly stands above a ton of Civics out there, but take that car out to a crowd of fast street cars (Z28's, Corvettes, Firebirds, etc..) and do you think they'll care about the cute little knick knacks you overpaid for from Japan (for example the $2,000+ rims.. lmfao)? I hang out with these people in my area and they love how stock mine looks, but can hang with the Mustang GT's and other V8's. I'm guessing you're under 20'ish? I had my phase too where looks were everything, but I guess I grew up a little now that I'm 25. It's okay though, only time and experience can help you get to the automotive mentality I and others have.. Last edited by Ricochet; 08-11-2004 at 12:00 AM. |

Re: What I Bring to the Table
Miataracer: Notice I didn't use "NOS" I used the word Nitrous you ignorant fuck. I think you need to stop
, and learn to read. As for a B18C7, I'm surprised none of you know what that is considering your all running these highly tuned Honda motors, not to mention your mouths? The B18C7 is an aussie spec ITR motor with the 98 spec ITR tranny. As for all of the cars featured on my website, it hasn't been updated in awhile. The Green DB7 is running a B18B, the Silver DC2 is running a 98 spec JDM B18C5 with Spoon camshafts, etc., the Gold EG Hatchback has just recieved a Spoon B16B with 98 spec ITR tranny, and before it was sold the Bronze EG Coupe was running a Nitrous fed B18B. Now if you think I'm sitting here running my mouth, I'd be more then happy to snap off photos of all my friends engines. pheurton-skeurto: As for you, if you honestly think a B16 is all it's cracked up to be, I'm affraid you my friend are slow in the head. The B16 is a torqueless motor that no one wants, unless your running an EF. There's no point in even purchasing one for the money that was spent on buying one, I could have my D16Y7 running better time slips. Hence why I haven't even considered buying one. The only motors to even be considered going into my car are 99 - 01 B18C, or B18C5. As for these so called useless "knick knacks". I don't consider Tein suspension, Spoon front, and rear lower tie bars, Alex C pillar bar, Alex trunk bar to be useless. Not to mention the Mugen RNRs. How would you plan to put down the power of a B18C without suspension upgrades you useless twit. Do you honestly think I want to be sitting at the tree with a B18C on stock suspenion, with stock steelies? HELL NO! I'd be spinning like a little bitch. And no I'm not under 20. The whole reason for my car was to eventually swap. Hence why I started building up the suspension first. Then I just happened to have some extra money lying around, at the time of my buddies shipment. I guess impulsively buying is one of my bad habbits. |

For the Record, Ricochet has a real Civic Type-R motor, a JDM B16B (we've seen many pictures). It's not the run of the mill jdm B16 like everyone has. How many people do you see running around with B16B civic type-r motors?
You go on to say and I quote Quote:
Look, quiet the flaming. I get sick of all the new members coming in and flaming. Ricochet was being rather nice actually, and is still trying to be nice. He was offering constructive critisism, not trying to be an ass. Just chill out. You're going around making fum of him for having a civic type-r B16B, yet your buddy has the same motor...just chill dude, no need to flame and get defensive. |

![]() all in all, you sound like a whiney little spoiled bitch that thinks if you aint JDM, you aint cool. the sad thing is that you are spending all of this money thinking you are going to have such a badass car, when there are many many people out there who have spent less than you have and gotten better results. its all about bang for the buck, and you seem to have a firecracker instead of a stick of dynomite by the way right back at ya, in your eye

Re: What I Bring to the Table
Theres way to much BS and teenage testosteron in this thread.
Why the hell you would want to put an Ausi spec ITR engine in your car is beyond me, but its not a good way to try and sound smart. And not everyone is interested in Best Bang for your Buck, some people have the money and don't mind spending it on all the little pretty things that makes thier car differnt. Theres no need to be jealous of the. Now how about a little less wigga attitude, Canadians are world famous for being nice friendly people.
