I think that is a wonderful idea. But how well did it all light up though? Would the cellophane wrap hold up too all that heat from the bulbs? I'm actually going to find a nice size piece of clear plastic, cut it out of the shape of the fitting and then lay the sheets on it with tape on the bottom so it won't touch the bulbs. I think that would work best!

How would i make it so the numbers on teh gauge face would shine blue, i have yet to see blue lite bulbs that the right size for our gauge cluster. Right now i just have some amber bulbs in there but i want to have a blue look now to match my deck better :P.

You have to take the entire gauge apart, I tried it with orange but didn't like it, blue would be cool. well, basicly take out the gauge, remove the needle and two screws holding on the face, then cover the back of the face with whatever color you desire.

Re: PICS: New CD Deck and Gauge Light Color

I think Ami really needs to put this mod on here site. I love my green climate controls now. Doesn't look so cheap as that yellowish color was.
