Re: Cheap power for a 89 TBI 305, need help?

I just my heads remanufactured and the block was in very good condition, so I am not sure if its the motor. I think that the lack of the grille on my model (it has virtually none its all ground effects)is the key. It stays pretty cool in traffic 160-180 when I get it on the highway it gets up 200-220 (After I filled up my radiator, which was dumb not filling it up in the first place). I thought of getting a grille and installing it on the front of my bird. It should do the trick.
If the car is in overdrive should it be slower? Cuz in normal drive my car is quick.

Re: Cheap power for a 89 TBI 305, need help?

I noticed a little leak from my top hose that goes to the pump. I tightened it and it should perform better. I also, installed a open element air filter and made sure that it does not mess with the coil. On top of that, I went to the junk yard and I got the front of a camaro ( 87 I think) it has two grilles around the liscence plate as well as three cool narrow intakes above the plate. Its a bit higher than my bird so I am going to have to cut the ends off and do some fiberglass magic, I am not to worried about it since its covered with a bra. I think that this should do the trick, at least for now.

Racing is like boxing, if a lightweight challenges a heavyweight, you know that the lightweight will be fast, but in the end the heavyweight will knock the shit out of the lightweight.
