The Mustang 5.0 is gonna be more reliable than the TSi AWD (go ahead, flame me, you DSM punks), but the Talon is still pretty reliable if you take care of it. If you like the DSM better, go ahead and get it, you won't be disappointed :P

1991-1995 mr2 turbo? mid engine rwd 200hp 200ftlbtq and good modding capabilities...(easily makes 300whp with bolt ons while still remaining reliable)... only has two seats, but hey, it "GOs"....

I do NOT recommend an MR2 to this kid. If you want a bang for the buck drag racer to beat on ricers with, get a DSM or some muscle. Dont violate a sports car like the MR2 by limiting it in drag racing...

I agree with the above about not recommending the mr2 now. not only does it seem that you are looking for a different type of car then what the mr2 is but mid-engine cars have very different handling characteristics and can very quickly put you in a bad position!(read: snap overstear).
In my honest opinion I believe your reasons for getting a sports car are so frivolous that I honestly recommend keeping your current car. But I will say that for what your looking for I think the mustang will suit you just fine. Getting power out of them is easy and they sound great!

My Camaro weighs 3400lb there is no way a DSM, especially a 1st gen, weighs close to me.
Comments, if you mod the hell out of a DSM you will be blowing something everyother week, not just flaming, friend had a 500HP 1st gen GSX, two headgaskets, water pump, more stuff... you'll see what I mean.
And you can't really say his reasons are frivolous... anybody on here who has a "fast" car has it to be faster than the next guy, isn't that the point. "Fast" itself is only a relative term, 50 years in the future if base model Kias run 13 sec 1/4 miles, will they be fast? Probably not since that will be the slowest car you can get and real performance cars will be runnin 10s-11s.

What year camaro? Thats about the weight figure I have read from quite a few places. *shrugs
the commend about his reasons for wanting the car being frivolous was in reply from the "show all these ricer punks (ect ect) whats up". I doubt that comment repressents him best but I dunno, that just seems to be one of the worse reasons to get a sports car. especialy a 16 year old. Least thats my opinion in a nutshell

Mu uncle bought a 1995 BMW 3 series low end model...320i...or something like that for 6,700 US bucks and it is in pretty good condition.

Thats why I recommend it.

Since I drive a 2001 323i oftenly I appreciate how solid and good bmws are. Although the 323i is pretty slow and not responsive...my civic beats the shit out of it...it still feels like a luxury wonderful car.

When I was in New Hampshire I drove a 88 BMW 525 IS and it felt real solid and ran well even though it had 300+ thousand miles.

Ok, I mean, you are entitled to your opinion, I'm just saying, for all of us on here that have a performance car, we obviously have it to outclass 95% of the Road going cars out there, so his reasoning is not too far off. And if DSMs weigh close to my car, then it is just a ricer ploy, "I don't need all that HP and TQ, my car is soooo much lighter" they are just as heavy as us muscle, but w/o the "muscle".
