I hear that too. It's all too obvious and on display.

As for the racial profiling - If you are serious about security then screen EVERYONE. Anybody trying to carry out such a plot will do everything they can NOT to draw attention to themselves. The scenario described in the article has people doing almost everything they can to draw attention to themselves.

Here's another thing. People of the same foreign nationality will be drawn to eachother for conversation. If you were travelling or staying in a foreign land and found some fellow countrymen would you not be drawn to converse with them?

And one more thing. Muslims have certain times each day set aside for prayer/worship. Many of them adhere to these closely. Rather than lay out a mat on the aisle of the plane - could that be what they had been doing? Regardless, that alone will bring some forms of synchronicity into their behaviours, timing and habits.

I'm not suggesting the above two paragraphs are what they were doing, but after reading an article like this, many may misinterpret these little habits as cues to terrorist activity.

Perception management is all about how people interpret an action, event, photograph etc. If you read this article without being aware of how it affects subconcious thought processes, the next time you see a group of middle eastern men conversing in the US or queing up to enter a room, your interpretation of the event will be tainted. It may not enter into concious thought and manifest itself as a feeling of unease, fear or anger.

On a lighter note, this kinda reminds me of the Mr Bean movie when he is moving through the airport pretending to himself that he is packing heat. It develops into a full blown chase with Mr. Bean surrendering his weapon by placing his hand on the floor.

You’re full of shit. Making bomb threats is a federal offense. The FBI as well as the police departments would be involved. It’s an offence punishable by five years each incident. If they were caught, the last thing they would be doing is suing the school. They’d be begging not to be in the state pen.

Tell your friends to die PLZ. KTHXBYE.

One:I detest the term 'ragheads' to describe arabs.Any more of that racist shit, you'll get kicked off of this board

Two:Pakistanis are not Arabs, and do not wear Arab headgear, moron.

3:If these alleged "friends" of yours did as you suggested, they would most likely have dissappeared for a while.

4:Bomb threats aren't funny, let alone 'hilarious'.Grow up.

5:Ever wondered what happens when you shove your mouse up your butt?can you still click it using your rectum muscles? Please....go try it and report back. But not until you're a bit smarter.

I dont understand why when one of them was standing up when the fasten seatbelt sign was on, why a Stewardess did not tell him to sit down, i mean they had airmarshels on board so its not like she had to much to fear.

I understand the point that it could just be muslim practices like praying or whatever, but they were just doing to much weird stuff.

Classic

AS for the article, yeah it does make one wonder, but I feel it could be an excersize, if not why no media coverage whatsoever? Now if the FBI knows of this plot to assemble components on a plane to make a bomb then why did they not stop the passengers from getting on and question them there before they got on the plane knowing that they had one way tickets. Things that make you go hmmm.

Re: The hairs on the back of my neck won't go down, after reading this...

All valid points that I think make it more then likely this was an exercise. As for the hillarity of bomb threats, I had a guy in my HS write "I'm going to bomb this place" on the bath room wall. He was found, suspended, expelled, brought to court, and sentenced to a short stint in jail. The FBI even came to our school for an investigation. Now, he was an idiot, and it wasnt a funny joke, but all this happened to a guy without a prior record, let ALONE numerous attempts at this... "hillarity"
