Here's a basic rule of thumb to follow. If you are looking to get "cheap" products pricewise, you'll end up with cheap in more than one way. It won't fit for crap, no matter what it's made of. If you get fiberglass, it will also be brittle fiberglass blown from a chopper gun. Basically, you'll get way you pay for to a certain extent. if you are looking to "get cheap" stuff to "look wild." You'll certianly end up getting cheap stuff, and I don't mean just cheap price. You'll more than cover the price difference between that and decent parts trying to get it all to fit decent. If you wanna screw with the body, don't go "cheap."

Also, every Hondaboy it seems has your idea..." i wanna it to look like it perform i run low 11's now i wanna make my enemies be scared when they see me."

First, you don't run low 11's. Sorry, don't believe it. Show me pics of the motor, the time slips, videos of your car making at least 3 seperate runs down the track, with a time board in full visable view, a list of all the mods...even then...still skeptical...sorry. It seems half the people that come in here claim "I got mad power yo, I run hella fast times."

You wanna make them scared with your looks? No one is going to be scared of your looks. A modified "wild looking" honda looks neither "fast nor furious." Half the hondas with fenders, a hood and a kit just run a chopped off muffler and a short ram intake on a DX motor. Some speed demon there. The point is, if your goal with looks is to "i wanna make my enemies be scared when they see me."...the sorry, not gonna happen. Wake up and smell the coffee, modding your looks will make no one scared....period.

Re: lets dress it up..

the purple paint you say you have on the car will be enough to scare most people, they will know whos coming in a purple civic. like Civic_D16Y5 said, you should put on a carbon fiber hood. put a nice set or rims and good rubber on the car and save the rest of the money to put into your interior or audio or even another car. but hell, if youre running 11s you could easily get a sponsor, you illegal engine might make that alittle harder though.

Re: lets dress it up..

... i wonderwhat kind of "illegal engine" he has? i dont thing b18c1 or b18c5 is illegal... well maybe its just illegal in general to have a defferant engine in your car.
maybe he has an h22a?
maybe has actually done some "trick" motor job and put in a bigger enigne like a v6 or something that would require hella work

An engine swap could be be considered illegel if

A)the year the motor you are swapping in was produced is older than your car chassis. I.E. A 1991 B16A is illegel to put in a 1997 Civic. This has to do with emissions mostly. In cali, they still might trip if they found you put a 1993 OBBI B18A1 into your 1995 Civic hatch, since it's still llegel. In most states though, espeically ones that don't follow cali's lead, you'll be fine as long as the motor is the same emissions standard or higher. So for example, any OBDI motor or OBDII motor into a 92+ civic, etc.

Now, as I said, the TECHNICALLY the law states the motor must be from the a vehicle of the same chassis year as yours or newer.

B)It is considered illegel if you remove any of the emissions control equipment. For example. You have an ONBII 1997 B18C1 in 94 Civic. You convert it to OBDI and run it through a 1995 OBDI ecu. All this is fine and legel, as long as you leave the OBDII emissons equipment intact. Even if you don't use it, becuase your vehcile is OBDI, you must leave them intact and on the motor. This is why you my see a swapped motor in a car like this the wires from an OBDII sensor running to nowhere. Becuase they have to leave it intact. Now most states, again, won't trip if they are not, as long as you pass the emissions test. In cali, hpwever, you will automatically fail the visual inspection if you don't have these intact, even if they are not in use.

Now, an H22 swap is legel into your civic, as long as it's from a vehicle that is the same year or newer as your vehicle chassis, and as long as all the emissions sensors and equipmwnt stay intact (as I descibed in B). Also, I am not sure if a JDM motor is legel in cali or not, so a JDM motor may be considered illegel in cali. Again, in most states, like oregon or washington for example (where you don't have a visual inspection and only have to pass the emissions test), as long as all the emissions epuipment is intact and as long as it's from the same emissions type or newer vehcile (OBDI, OBDII, etc) your're usually going to be ok. In cali, I am not sure if it's illegel or not, you'd have to look into that yourself. I think I have read before that it is illegel, but I am not sure.

Re: lets dress it up..

yeah i think that "illegal" engine is bull... and if your car really does run in the low 11's (haha) then just lower in and put on some nice rims... the sound of an 11sec engine should be enough to scare anyone, not some cheap ebay body mods.

what kinda engine do you have? a chevy big block v8 or something? i don't think any 4cyl engine alone could get your car in the low 11's, i could be wrong.

Re: lets dress it up..

this guy blows prison inmates for quarters then gets in his 94 dx with a rust hole in the muffler, flips his visor upside down and backwards, and feels like a bad ass when he outruns the old lady on the sidewalk using a walker.

end of story

Did you even list any modifications... I have a pretty good idea what most HONDA products do. Also if your SUPER PURPLE FLASH here is so fast a body kit wouldnt be on your mind.
