That's true, especially in 5thgen forums if you say ANYTHING about racing or street racing it's as though you said you commited some heinous crime or something. But there is a wealth of information on the Org, not too mention like many others have said you can post a question and get a response within minutes from 4-200 different people. It's awsome, and few communites/forums offer the wealth of information that you get as a member of the org. Minus the flamers and lack of search engine that functions it's an awesome place.

Re: Maxima.org

if the search feature worked at the org, it would be over the top. i remember when i used to ask question after question, and then I looked at the search box and gave it a shot. WOW ! I was blown away. you can sit there and read exactly what you are into or looking for at that moment for hours.

then sometime later the feature was disabled and me along with it. maybe it will be up again one day.

the maxima store is cool, and that old trader rating was a really neat feature. i will sell on the org but will not buy from a user that I do not know. which made the trader rating real cool for people you didnt know. they have a new setup but a little tougher to dig around

Re: Maxima.org

I like maxima.org!

1) Knowledgeable people.
2) Quick answers to most questions.
3) I have far more problems with the server down (or busy) here than there.
4) Forums are specific to each gen, rather than a broad "maxima" forum.

I have found answers to many questions by following threads there and being willing to do a little research. Many times this has saved me from having to ask the same question, which is what I've seen generates most of the the "flame fests" - either a) someone asking the same question for the 1000th time, or b) someone trying to "rice out" their maxima which is unspeakable to a true maxima afficianado. ;o)

I miss maxima.org and wish them the best in getting the site back up and running.

Re: Maxima.org

I should add, I only read the 3rd gen forums, so can't speak to the people that post in the other forums. But I've found the 3rd gen'rs to be mostly cordial and tolerant of newbies.

Re: Maxima.org

As long as the org is around, I'll haunt it. There's so much knowledge and information there. The How-Tos alone are priceless!

Re: Maxima.org

i mainly stay in 4th gen and post in general too, i wonder which generation group is filled with the most haters? i never thought much about 3rd gen'ers or 5th gen peeps having different attitudes. or is it in every forum.

i dont see much of that kinda stuff going on here though, not that i recall, auto maxima forum is cool like that.

Hey Ceasars Chariot - nice wheels!

Don't intend to hijack this thread but what are they?
