I've worked hard for everything I've owned. I bought a '93 3000GT on my own last year. (The VR-4s are too much. Damn!) I also pay for the full coverage insurance. Car payments & insurance is a little over $300 a month. I've dumped about 3 grand in it, give or take. Most of the money was spent on rims/tires and suspension. All of this and I'm a full-time college student. See what you can do when you set your mind (& wallet!) to it? Check it out: http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/579018

Osok, on an explorer? Or do you have another car that you haven't listed? And if it's a 3kgt, what trim?

Nothing special? Well I for one believe that any GT, whether base, SL, or VR4 is pretty damn special.

i agree

osok_deadeye21, if only your synchro's have gone bad there are ways of getting it done fro less than 2500. mine will probably be around $1,000 to fix. i'll buy the parts and they will put the parts in.

Most transmission places wont put a tranny in your car if you buy your own parts its to do with a warranty type of deal. I tried doing it. I was going to buy a used tranny shipped from japan it would of only cost me 1200 bucks and labor. I called around at every single place they said they wont do it and that they cant do it since its not under warranty and they are not responsible. I had to go with mistubishi doing one since I didnt have a friend that could do it for me.

As far as mods...hell i've had the car 4 days now officially...the other 7 weeks were in the shop.

Repairs...hmm...

new engine....2800$
spark plugs....4.94$
clutch....800$

then again...i only paid 49.12$ cuzz of that warranty...i dunno what i'd do without it being 18 and in college. btw...mods are gonna be hard to come by considering my monthly car payment is 650$. Why'd a buy such a newer vr4???
