It's not that we choose to ignore the warnings. IMO, the system is being abused. It seems that everyday, a new warning is issued because of a "credible threat." How can they expect us to pay attention to the warnings everytime? It's ridiculous.

Well, I been checking around and it seems, that no one is talking. The information, the story just went pooof.

As fast as they mentioned it on the news, it was gone just as fast.

Understandable from the Gov, standpoint, but it would be nice to know something.

Has anybody heard the news lately? They havent raised the terror warning, and dont plan on it unless it gets a little too credible and real.

There has been chatter over the net and radios about a terrorist cell in the US that has imported nuclear weapons, and they will be used on 10 major cities near election time. They believe its pretty credible but they still havent raised the alert level...

Well here in NYC the terrorist alert hasn't changed since 9/11. We have gotten used to it like if its not even there, yet at times when I go through a tunnel or over a bridge I am anxious to reach the other side as quickly as possible. So we are still aware of the situation but I guess we try no to let it get the best of us.

As for the warning chart and the warnings themselves by the governmnet. I see that it will come to the point of crying wolf. When the attack happens it will be too late. There is nothing stopping these fanatics form doing what they want. What happened in Spain was a test bed. Its so damn easy blowing up a building that its downright scary. Here in NY as well as any major metropolitan city that has a big transportation system, there is no way the authorities can prevent any nut riding on a train, bus, ferry, car with an explosive device. All we can do is hope that the FBI can get to them ahead of time. Warning us does nothing but put us in fears.
