Ship as a 12J? I thought the Marines used numbers for MOS'? Like 8541 for S/S.
Don't take any shit from recruiters. You're not sworn yet, so tell them you won't sign until you get what you want. In a nice, but firm way.

Done it... kinda sad it's over but there're more important things to focus on now... like how am I gonna survive Angie coming up in a month and staying at my apartment?

Join the Marines and get away from there. If you're fit enough to get in, you're in a good position. Some of us are working towards that kind of fitness and would be rather pleased to be in that position.

It's going OK. I've been dropping quite a bit of weight which is good. I need to get out and do some running though and get my times down.
Getting a pack soon and will be tramping a lot more, since that is more important than running in the Army, though I still need to do it. Planning to hit the Northern Crossing soon enough, before the snow gets too thick. Need to do more running though. Thanks for asking
