Nismo... firechickens aren't bad but I prefer the Z28... or a Trans AM because that's at least a fully loaded chicken of the fire. :alien2: F-bodies will be back in a few years.

skylineSTS - Yea these NEW imports are a shame. As you stated what the heck were they thinking? The toyota matix does looks weird, plus all of gm's new compact cars. They gotta stick to being jap cars, and stop going euro on us fans. Not EVERYONE enjoys european style!

AGREED!!!!!!

I hope you are just joking and not trying to start a flame war. I like both and I must say; we say there is not replacement for displacement because THERE ISN'T!

why do all the ricers think that a vtech is bad ass? I mean they do add some horse power, but their not a turbo or anything. I was riding with my friend in a 99 civic v-tech, and when the v-tech kicked in, i could barely feel the difference. Maybe its just me, but when im going 90 mph and i kick it into 4th on my vette, it will set your ass back in the seat!

From what i understand all it really does is help out your valve timing and efficiency.......it doesnt really add any horsepower, just help out what ya got already

which doesnt help the fact that most ricers doesnt know what it stands for.

Anyway, its not that great a deal. I wouldnt mind having it, but on the flip side i really dont care that i dont coz its real easy to live without.

Annd, youre right by saying its not a turbo, its no where the hell close to forced induction at all by any means whatsoever. Just somethin the ricers can rally under and yell about.

because none of those cars can compare to a skyline. the skyline is so fast on a circuit it was banned from the jgtc cuz it completely dominated all the races. if u have the money, why not start with the best?

I love imports to the max but all you v-tec lovers i don t see what the hell is so great about it. There is only so much power you can get out of a n/a 1.8 liter engine. Turbo power is the way to go face it!! without forced induction you are limited.

Yes, I'm pretty darn sure downshifting on a Corvette gives a person much more feeling of power but probably the civic you rode in was just an Si engine or something like that or maybe even an EX. What you gotta do is ride in a highly modified NA type R engine swap in a civic HB and listen to when VTEC kicks in and then you'll definitely feel power difference. Also, 4cyl VTEC engines mostly don't have that much torque so you don't feel anything compared to V8s.

i love imports and domestics, of course there are real pieces of crap from both too, but we just don't spend our money on those.
I think I am starting to understand vtec. variable valve timing and all. They open up more at higher rpm and so are more effecient throughout. and their power comes at much higher rpm. they are real screamers. rsx-s has 8000 redline and gets max power at 7000. I am sure there is much i do not know but i think i have soem of the basics covered.

by the time i done with this the whole threads gonna end up in the stress release forum

heres the deal kiddies.........the skyline is NOT, i repeat NOT an IMPORT. Its a Japanese Domestic Car......and if youre gonna shell out the cash to ship over a right hand drive skyline, well, lets hope you like it a lot coz otherwise it isnt worth the money.

Next, i think the cars ugly, i know im gonna get flamed for this, but the big bucket just isnt me. Honestly, id take a Supra TT and be happy as hell......really now, how many chicks are gonna take the big bulky sedan over a hooked up supra.

The car kicks ass, ill give it that, especially being good enough to be banned from a tournament, i mean DAMN. Still though, theres faster for cheaper. Im sick of all the kids sayin "SKYLINE SKYLINE SKYLINE" and dont know jack about it, since they read that it was the car that God himself drives (now that wasnt directed to anyone here, you guys no your stuff, just a rant in general) Anyway, im sick of kids in the US raving about a car they dont (and more than likely never will) ride in...for the same reason i dont like ferraris and lambourghinis all that much..............

ALright *breathes* i think im done, sorry for the rant guys, just had to release some pressure

ahaha well in MY opinion they look like ass, good cars all around, but im just sick of lil posers screaming about the skyline, i know coz when i first got into cars i was one.......

.......then i grew up, but kept the nismo trend, got interested in the zx, then the sx became more realistic......

......now for a drastic change.......FIREBIRD!

bahaha

but, im just sick of hearin "skyline this, skyline that" from the kids that probably havent seen em (most of this anger is just ventilation from experiences at school with these punks, nobody here).......i could go "McLaren this! McLaren that!" but in the end, itd just be pointless......

sorry if i struck a nerve man, youre pretty cool
