Wilmington has a very big hardcore scene. Its not the type of thing you go to and start something at.

My biggest brother got me into it a while back... I think I went to my first show when I was 16, he was 21. He was in tight with the biggest crew, so I was basically straight to do whatever.

Anyways,

I think that night we were seeing Nurish The Flame, and Silas. And a few other bands. NTF and Silas were the only straight-up death-metal that night though.

Typically we see ASG (All Systems Go... Or Amplification by-Self Gratification) every weekend... Theyre starting to get big, Bam played some of their stuff in the backround on his show. I would suggest Downloading them as well.

Anyways, fights arent that rare at ILM shows. I think its silly.

Dude im sorry, but around here, the stereotypical "Goths" are 100% douche bags. Im not one to judge anyone, or anything. But seriously man. Half of them are burnt out on 2 or 3 drugs at a time, smoke cigarretes in tight public places, to cause disorder, so they can rant about how we dont except them. The guys wear DRESSES out in public, one flashed a group of children once downtown... Wearing a thong under-there... Wow thats cool.

Around here, they're attention-hungry know-it-alls that have no opinions for themselves, listen to the same damn music, wear the same clothes, act the same way, wear the same "different" Sponge-Bob bookback... They're just not so different.

There are only a few true Gothic people that I have come in contact with. I have respect for these people.

I respect every human for his, or her, out look on life, and how they think they should pursue it... Whether it be dressing strange... Or acting strange. Its your ideals... Run with them I guess.
