Lovey build as always Nuno. When Citroen designed the 2CV did they set out to make it look like a snail or was it unintentional?
I was thinking the same thing, it should be part of a set with a Beetle and Mini.

No, they designed it for the french farmers. It had to be a simple car that wouldn't use too much fuel, could carry a 50-litre barrel of wine and needed special suspention to transport a basket of eggs over a just plowed field. Also it hat to cost 1/3 of the Traction Avant (or less). There were a few more specifications, but I forgot.

Indeed, a Dutch journalist called this car 'the Ugly Duckling of Citroën" when he first saw it at it's introduction at the autosalon of Paris in 1948.

Very nice build ! I'm not really expierienced, my 2cv looks like shit ! I even misplaced the complete front axle !
