Re: ZC Engine q

im such a moron that i know not ot get married. Anyways, yes the sock zc is basicly the same as a stock si but produces a bit more hp. 118 would be on the higher end and i would expect more like 112. Although each engine has its own history so it really depends on how well it was maintained and what you do to it before you install. The dock on the other hand isnt 140 its more like 130 and probly closer to 125 depending on wear. These motors have been sitting an awful long time or have have been used since they left Japan so who knows what the deal is.

Depending on how you set up your install, DPFI or MPFI that will also make a slight change in your overall hp. With i/h/e you might add about 5 hp to what ever your engine was putting out before. Its hard to tell without dyno'ing it cause how big your exhaust, what intake you get, and what headers you have all factor in to the gain. Its not something you can look up and go, ohh well i have x brand intake with y brand cone filter so i will gain z hp.

On to other engines, the ZC's as far as im aware are non-vtec so the the sock vtec your thinking of is something else. I wana say outa a newer civic but i dont really care much for engines so i wouldnt know. i believe its the z6, like the dick above me has. since im done dealing with that idiot, i hope this info helps.

As for you DX dude, i dont care. Call me stupid, flame me all you want even, im gonna live my life without getting all agro cause someone spells something diffrent then i do. Be a man here, which i hope your wife will lend you your balls back, and let it go. Step up from the anger and just let it go buddy. I'm having a cold one thinking of you.

I said 140 to the crank figuring if he has some mods, about 10hp at the crank...but then again who really knows without a dyno, and those numbers will be to the wheels, and lower than 140. And also...we only have ONE header

Re: ZC Engine q

there is a SOHC VTEC ZC. there is also OBD1 DOHC ZC non VTEC.

surprising enough, the SOHC VTEC ZC came out in a number of cars, including 94-00 JDM INTEGRA... yes you read right, an Integra with a d series.

and for nemo, getting married was the best thing i ever did. Its not my fault no girl wants to be with you... most would listen to you call a zc a "dock zc" and laugh. I have an idea, why dont we all start talking in nemo language. If you have a CRX, then call it a "CEREX" or a CRV is a CURVE. maybe if you had the money, you could buy an Nasex.

oh, btw, i built my own car and it will dominate yours. btw, how IS your car doing? have to take it to the SHOP lately? blown any DOCK ZC's or SOCK D16s? I bet the shop owners who build your car for you laugh their ass off listening to your stupidity.

end yourself.

I did not know that there was a version of a Dseries engine in an integra... any specs on that one? or is it pretty much the same as a D16Z6?

Also... he said something about 'phonetics'.. and typing things the way the sound.... well in conversation when I talk to my friends about engines... we don't say socks, and we don't say docks.... and we don't say S.O.H.C. or D.O.H.C.... usually we say Single Over Head Cam, or Dual Over Head Cam... why don't you start spelling it out, if you want to spell it how it sounds? even that is less stupid than throwing socks around docks.

Re: ZC Engine q

cause its funny. It took me a while to figure out what he was trying to say with sock and dock.
How can you spell SOHC and DOHC like that when they mean Single/Double Over Head Cam. Anytime someone says sohc instead of single over head cam I say huh just to make them say it all....

Re: ZC Engine q

yea it should have ... but childishness doesnt end with the civil. btw, none of those phonetical spellings are right btw. You know phonetical means spelled as its sounds, so since CRV is pronounced C-R-V, so curve doesnt work, and CRX falls in the same boat, so cerex doesnt either. Did you even bother to sound out what you typed at all cause those dont sound anything like their parent word. Nasex was close cause i assume you mean the NSX which would actually be en-es-ex.

As for the woman deal, actually i have one and i treat her bad but she still loves me. crazy shit but i cant help it. My problems stem from living in california and not making enough money to afford proper quality engine swaps when i get my engine blowing up on me. I mean mexicans are only so reliable when they hardly speak english. yes i hate on dirty mexicans.

since DOHC and SOHC are acronyms, they would be pronounced "dee-oh-ach-see" and "ess-oh-ach-see", much like the see-are-ex and in-es-ex

Let me rephrase that... I didn't know there was a version of a D-series engine in late model integra's... I would like to see the specs on it.
