obvously when putting a heavy engine like that is gunna cause havoc on steering, so thats why u upgrade shocks, brakes and steering, unless your willing to upgrade all those their is no point in getting the swap done. Just my thoughts though

OK here is the skibby on the H22A into a %th Gen Civic...

The whole motor package, Including trans., axles, ECU, both manifolds, and some other stuff depending on where you get it from should not colst more than 3000 AFTER shipping... The installed price goes up because of that fact that you need a custom shift linkage. Most places make andsell their own but the can be caostly... Also... The 5th Gen civic is the most swap friendly chasis Honda ever blessed us with. What this means is that you will NOT have to shave fenders, frame, or firewall whatso ever... And as far as motor mounts go... You have to replace them for any motor swap so you cant get around that at all...

Now, to answer some of Darkwings questions...

Prelude - Powerfull... Heavy... Expensive... Aftermarket is limited...

5th Gen Civic - Light... Afourdable... Aftermarket is unlimited... And like I said, It is the most swap friendly chasis Honda made... If you can think it up for a civic, you can do it...

And in closing... Dont doubt the life left in you stock motor... It is a Honda after all...

Jason
