uh, sorry to break it to you man, but you are more than likely making *LESS* power on 93 octane than you would on 87-89.

Higher octane fuel has nothing in it to make your car run better. It does, however, resist ignition, which means it doesnt burn as quickly or ignite as completely as lower octane fuel. you are getting a weaker explosion, which we all know, combustion makes power.

so yes, you are in fact, wasting money. lets say premium octane is only $.10 more a gallon than regular or super unleaded. every time you fill up your tank, you are wasting $1.10 multiplied by 52 weeks. Its only $57/year, but hey, less horsepower is worth $57 right?

just giving you the truth...

Hey man I know you know your sh*t but I live 1,000 ft. above sea level and I know there is a reason why they sell the 93 octane here and not in say California. I'm no physicist but I know my car runs great on 93 so I'll keep using it.

Gas prices in my area only dropped 4 cents... from 1.99 a gallon to 1.95.... wonderful, eh?

$2.05 for 89 here. for super the highest was something like $2.75 , now i have no idea cuz i dont use super. going down wooo hoo!!!

Gas in the wisconsin,dells area is about $1.95 for regular,was $2.09.not much but a little counts.I hope Bush gets colon cancer and rots in hell!

hmm in NJ the gas just went up to i think 2.07 for regular 87, but it just stopped rising in the last week. this is pretty bullshit
