Sounds like your logic is flawed by the way you contradicted yourself.

What the hell are you talking about?? So I want to fiddle around with a $50 toy when I'll soon have a 3K one. What's your point? You sound as if you're implying that I'm using the xmod as an R&D platform for a 1/5th scale nitro. I don't think you were very thorough in your assmuptions. I see no contradiction that you speak of chief. What I do with an xmod has nothing to do with the F1 nitro that I may be getting.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I hope you're not thinking that my comments are intended to be a part of some kind of flame war, I think everyone on this forum is getting sick of this crap. But since you're assumptions that my logic is so flawed, please do tell me what is logical then... Why would I buy an xmod? Probably because I can...no logic neccessary. So chill.

You replied as if I was trying to flame GTmike400, or something, I was just correcting a misunderstanding. I think he probably got that point. I don't understand why you feel the need get all uptight and question my logic.. So you think it's flawed, I can live with that.

So I can do all the experimenting I want without worrying about ruining a big investment because xmods aren't a big investment, more of a hobby inside of a hobby to me.

But there are a few people on here who tend to make hating xmods an obsession it seems because they are "real" rc guys and assume having an xmod is for wannabes only , that makes me laugh. I have about 5 other cars. 2 mini-z's, an hpi nitro rs4, A yokomo drift rc with brushless conversion, and another yokomo gt4 nitro. Pretty soon i'll also have a $3000 nitro powered F1 from http://www.molzermoweryracing.com/ac...Formula_1.html

The point is, no matter what anyone says, do your thing, if it's xmods or the hobby grade stuff. And you should be able to do it and talk about it without any one else giving you shit about it. (hint hint)

But let me clear it up for you then, if I invest in a 3k car, I'm not going to screw it up with my own home grown tinkering with uproven parts because it already has the development put into it and proven hop ups already exist. I'd handle this car with care especially when hoppin it up. When I got the xmod for xmas from my girl(ok, I'll admit I didn't just decide to buy one, initially) I wasn't too worried about screwing it up because it wouldn't put me hundreds of dollars, or even few grand in the hole so I lett loose on my ideas. That, is why the price of xmods of so appealing to me. That, and they are considered the underdogs of the mini/micro rc's.

Also tinkering and running my xmod is just something to do when I can't run the others as a time killer, aside from the mini-z's I can't run the others in my time. Plus I wanted to find out if they can be equal to, or better than mini-z's, they can.

So, how are you going to find time to run a 1/5 scale?

What kind of track would you run a 1/5 scale on anyway? It would have to be pretty big wouldn't it? Never seen one in person, but was curious about it. Didn't mean to try and argue and crap earlier. BTW, post pics if you buy it, they look pretty cool.

There's and old go kart track near me that was converted for large scale rc. I didn't even have any intention of getting the 1/5 scale nitro until I dicovered this place. So after about 6 months of watching races and demoing a couple cars, I decided to get one of my own.

Will defifinitely post pic once I have it, but that's going to tak a few months of saving. Depending on whether I get the RTR, or save about $500 and get the kit, I may even do a progress thread on the buildup. Keep a look out in the next coming months.

True, lol, but it didn't mean I wanted to hijack this thread. I think a few of us including myself owe sl500 an apology. Sorry dude.
