yah i heard the story about the guy who bought one of the many green eclipses they used in the movie for some huge amount of money and was extremely pissed off when he got the car and found out it wasnt turbo.

its so sad that none of the cars that were featured had any real mods. most were all exterior mods and crazy paint jobs. the rest was sound effects. only a few cars that are privately owned actually had good mods. like the pink s2k in 2f2f is actually turbo and is a very nice car. and some cars in the background were very nice as well.

I Thought all of the cars were privately owned. And teh directors and stuff just used them in the movie? I dont know I think most of the cars Look decent(compared to some peoples ;-)).Its just the bad actors that make em look bad.

the ones in the background were privately owned the main cars were all studio owned, whats even more sigusting they had 6+ copies of each car each dedicated for different shots where they more heavily modified the area where the camera would actually be filming at a blistering 35 mph or w/e they filmed at from cameras mounted on go-karts...sad sad sad. but then again if we wanted a good race movie we'd all watch autocannons the last race

no not all are privately owned and yes they do mod them to be how they want. that does not mean they dont have bad taste. everyone has the right to judge and be judged. and i think most of us will agree that most of those cars were just plain rice.

Im gonna have to disagree, sorta. Theres this book i saw at the local book store. It was a fast n furious book put out by the makers or something off F&F. It gave all the specs of the cars used in both movies. All of the ones in the second one were stock. I dont remember what the s2000 had real well though. So maybe it was supercharged. The green eclipse had the basics, rims n shit. The only cars to be modded were the supra and the red integra that ja rule drove. Mainly that one had ricer mods but it was turbo. The supra had a SHIT load of mods though. The charger had a fake blower on it too, it said that in the book. Did they ever show ludacris's Acura NSX in the movie, it was in the book but i dont remember them showing it, just saying he crashed into a wall going 120. Id have to say a lot of the stuff in the movie is fake but it did really spark the import tuner culture. I like the 2 movies a lot. I can tell the difference between performance and ricer too

i read an article about it on the net. the s2000 had shit done to it. the supra was actually slower then stock will all that stereo and shit on it. the skyline had the awd changed to just a rwd. there was a bunch of little things. most of the cars tested high 13's to high14's. i think the yenko clone ran a high 13 too. i know the lancer had to be pretty built to be able to go like 80 in reverse

watch very carefully in the movie. The evo is going like maybe 25mph when he pulls that reverse thing on the highway. Just look at the other cars around him when he pulls it. Most of the "cool tricks" they pull in both movies are just crappy special fx.

although you guys are right, please refrain from calling it an evo. im almost certain it was not an actual evo. just a regular lancer made to look like one. and we all should know the HUGE difference between a regular lancer and an evo.

I think if you watch it close enough on 2f2f, when hes driving down the freeway in the "evo" you can see a van blow by him. I'm not sure because I only wanted to waste my money once. Some on watch it and tell me if its tru or I was just wanting to make the movie better!!!

its nice how they start the movie off with something fucking retarded again. 1st one the floor board fell out of the eclipse, this time they are jumping bridges. maybe the 3rd one will have hover crafts..
