over rated car

i worked with the skyline and I copaired it to the ruf rgt and the skyline has more hp and the ruf has less and the skyline has awd and the rgt has rear real drive and that rgt will beat it in a 400m and mine is set on 2 tcs on the RGT well like i said tho everybody has there own car. By the way excuse the spelling and pucuation i am in a hurry.

there are a lot of factors that make the RGT beat the skyline, one, in the RGT, all the weight is in the rear end, because it's a rear engine car. and also, the RGT is a very light car compared to the skyline. even if it has less power, the characteristics of the two cars are way diffrent. my dad dragraces a 1966VW. it has a 2332cc (about 149ci) engine in it. it has 8 inch slicks, and a bunch of other things and it's N/A and still street legal. but it can still kick a beefed up race only 5 liter mustang no problem. it can beat pleanty of cars. it runs 12 seconds in a quarter mile. HP? under 300 i'm guessing. i think it's about 200-300HP. so you see, just because a car has low HP, doesn't necissarily (sp) mean it can't beat a car with more HP. there are just too many variables

your right that is way cars like the elise 190 can keep up with cars like the skyline, if you do the weight/power ratio, they come out very similar.

the rgt is also rear engined and hp isn't all there is...it's powerband and many other factors such as weight...is the rgt n/a?? but yeah...a rear-engined or mid-engined car can usually do almost as well if not better in the 1/4 in many cases since even though it only has two drive wheels there is all the weight on the back during peak weight transfer (off the line) and it has less weight than awd...

yea i know all that my friends dad owns a vw shop down here called herrells vw and i know all about rear engine stuff and i also drag race i have a lightning and a mustang and a street bike. i was just saying skyline has its fault's because its a game. skyline not the best car in the world people this whole website is all about the skyline it's fast but its not the fastest nothing will ever be the fastest theres alway something that will beat it

that's cool that your dad owns a VW shop. anyways, my dad's car's name is Goin Postal if you've ever heard of it. VW's have a great advantage in drag racing, because there is almost no weight in the front, and when you launch, all the weight is being forced onto the rear wheels, making the car launch and accelerate really hard and fast. my dad's car runs 12.0's in the quarter at about 100-105 mph, most other cars usually run about 110-120 to run a 12.0 because their bottom end is so slow. the skyline is an amazing car, but i think it's best suited for road races, and not drag racing. it wasn't meant to be a 1/4 mile car to begin with. well neither were bugs, but they became good racecars become someone saw it's potential. hmm a skyline could be a good drag car, if the power to weight ratio is good and it can transfer it's weight to the rear wheels fast eno

my dad doesnt own a vw shop my friends dad does he has had a couple of cars in hot vw mag he has about 200 vws in his yard lol i learned alot when i met him i am a ford man and everything but vw are cheap to make fast 200hp in a bug will fly lol my friend built a bad one with a big motor and his dad made the compression down in it alot and gave t a 1/4 throtle and he didnt no it so he couldnt spin tires or anything his dad got him really good
