Agreed! Forgot to write that last night! I think japan doesn´t have got many straight highways and they are only allowed to drive with a top-speed of 100km/h so that there is no need for a high top-speed.

Wink Pugs vs Honda

hehehe!

it looks like I hit a sensitive spot here! What I meant to say was, concerning the engine that is, Hondas feel really at home at high RPM, right? Right. High rpm is helpful for speed, not cornering, right? Right. Torque is!

Didn't mean to diss anybody here, but I think it is true that Hondas have longer wheelbases (in general) than the average Pug (106, 205, 205, 306), hence sharp cornering is somewhat dampened by this...

Hondas are without doubt the best combination of high-performance high-tech engines, reliability and design (somewhat dwindling however, with the dawning of the new-style Civic, although I would LOVE to test the Type-R someday!). I myself like hatchbacks and the French are quite good at designing those.

Concerning the motorsport I have to disagree! At www.peugeotboutique.com , which is an official Peugeot site!, you can buy everything to convert yer Pug into a fire-breathin' rally machine!!

Does Honda has anything similar? Would be cool! (expensive, I think)

I agree with the rest of the world: the 406 is without a doubt one of the best looking cars EVER! (not the fastes, that's a real shame...)

Do you agree with me when I say, Hondas are too expensive to buy new? They just aim at people not so young with rather good income!
What is the cheapest Honda you can buy? The Logo?

Wow, quitte some text here! Sorry, these were just my thought!

Honda isn't that ralley orientated. They feel more at home at the track. (Spoon, Mugen)

Why can't you keep your engine into the RPM's when you take turns? As long as the turn isn't to sharp I can easely keep my RPM between the 4000-4500 rpm.

BTW: nice to have some input from a Pug fan.

Honda

that is what I mean! SHARP turns, or things like roundabouts!

rallye (sorry, french spelling) is throwing the car over the rally-course
whereas track-driving is horsepower! (see what I mean!?)

AccordCE8's car is a real nice car to drive! Thing is, it is not a real sharphandling car which you can use to take corners with say 65 km/hr... Mine can... (with dry weather!). It is however a very relaxing car to drive in, mine being a bit nervous (with the GTi being completely frantic I reckon!)

And it was pretty fast during the slalom (what's it called in English??); it was pretty obvious it had a bit of a problem getting it around those orange cones... Even with the great Eibach springs it had body-roll, nevertheless...

I think the whole 'feel' for Honda or Peugeot (or BMW or whatever) is very personal and arguing about it has no use although it is always good fun!!

Pardonnez moi, ma voiture? C'est une Peugeot!

Thumbs up Mugen

BTW is Mugen part of Honda or not??

(so can you get Honda-race stuff to convert your Honda to a streetfighter?)

Don´t worry. You haven´t dissed anybody! But you´re right with most ( ) what you´ve said! I like Peugeots too but I just wouldn´t buy any other brand than Honda in the moment. I´m kind of stuck to them....
Mugen is its own brand and it`s only offering parts for Hondas. Their stuff is good quality but way too expensive compared to the power gains!!!

You really wanna be keeping it higher than that if you're pushing the car, if you've got a VTEC engine, keep it over 5,500rpm where the power is, I keep mine over 5000rpm when I'm driving hard thru corners

True but you're comparing an Accord to a Pug, of course the Pug will turn tighter, a Civic is a different story however

Accord

You're right!

Civic 1.6 16V's Civic was really fast on the slalom!!

the Accord has been the only Honda to date in which I had the pleasure to drive!

WHAT WERE YOUR ARGUMENTS!!

(way cool, discussing things like this!)

I think we all agree on one thing: we may like Hondas, we may like Pugs, but we all HATE Opels, Daewoos, Hyundais, VW's, Mercedes (I do at least!), Kia,euh... Toyota? hmm...

and we LOVE BMW!, SUBARU! (only one model, that is ), AUDI!, PORSCHE!, VOLVO!, SAAB!

anything else!?!?

O stop it, you make me blush :silly2: :hehehe:

No really, If I were really fast I would have won that trophee.

But it was the first time for me drving a slalom course
So in that case I think I didn't do that bad
The nr. 1 position had 20 secs. if I could remeber correctly
And my fastest time (out of 3 runs) was 22.something secs
But the guy that won had the modified car with the 405 engine at 170-180 horses.
