please note you are "wetsanding with 1000".. so your only taking off a very small amount off the top.

ive painted my house, but that doesn't have to do anything with cars lol. the thing is.... when u are wet sanding the color, isn't that gonna make the color dull, and besides, Y would u sand the clear coat, i always though u needed like 2-5 coats of clear to give it that wet look.

primer x2
sand
color x3
wet sand
clear x3
wet sand

honda--yes painting a house and painting car parts are COMPLETELY different. when you wetsand.. its not like you are sanding all the coats off ! you are meerly smoothing the coat out. personally..sometimes i colorsand, sometimes i dont....but i ALWAYS wetsand the clear coat after.. if you really want that wet gloss look.. you need everything to be smooth and even..so thats why you wetsand. after you finish wetsanding the clear coat..you give it 3-4 days to cure some more.. then you use a polishing compound and then a rubbing compound.. if you've done everything right.. you'll have a very wet looking peice
