Just have to respond to the 2 quotes above.

1) I'm not really impressed by all the US guys trying to modify their WRX and the way it is done. This has nothing to do with the car, but says all about the people. I am 100% sure that once the EVO hits the US shore, you'll see the same amount of failure rate.

2) As for uglyness. I rather see the new type WRX then an EVO VII.

Lucky me I have the best of both worlds (MY99 GTturbo & EVO VI)

How the hell can you even speak about reliability and you are for the evo. they are known for giving problems and wrxs are known to be bulletproof and reliable. You need to travel over seas and get first hand experience before you sit there and make yourself look foolish by making silly ass comments. Don t always listen to people on this forum who probably have never seen any of the legendary jap cars in real life. Go and see the light. Now if the evo would have been released in the states the same time that the wrx did i prob would have gotten an evo so i am in no way biased i like the evos better. so all i am sayin is to give props where props is due. because mitsu would not have brought it over without the subaru doing it first and having successful sales figures. Face the facts shortie.
I seriously have no clue why you two are even comparing the WRX and the EVO to each other....they're not even in the same class. If you wanna compare two cars compare the STI and the EVO.

As far as arguments go....this one needs to stop. One person's going to say the STI sucks ass, and the other is going to say the EVO sucks ass. I for one think neither suck. I just like the syling/handling/power of the Evo A LOT more.

Let's try not to get into this argument, it could go on for days w/o a resolution and with you both being pissed off at each other. I really don't want this to end up looking like one of the fights over at i-club where you get your head torn off just because you like the Evo more than the STI. The STI and the EVO are both really sweet cars....it's all a matter of personal preference.

Ya...it's slow, but with a Turbo and some NOS it might keep up...

2003 Evo VII will be mine in 10 months

Thumbs up Yeah right

The main problem here is that WRX STI for LHD is over 40K that is US dollars which really sucks... Subarus are very reliable and anyone who has had one will tell you... Anyway, I will go for the beast... The EVO VII of course.... however would not mind a STI WRX... still good enough:sun:

As far as the subaru evo debate goes....I love subaru and have loved them for a long long time....had they not changed the design I would own a wrx....but man what were they thinking? Those things are sick and everone knows it......its horrible! Now that we are sure the EVO is coming.....I'll have one.

Now with 5k...Exhaust, ECU tuning, Upgraded fuel system, After market Ignition (so i can up my boost alot and still have a good A/F ratio so i dont detonate)Turbo timer. Then I like the idea of the driving classes. Very good idea.

what would the best bet be, to increase horses and torque, with the cheapest amount of money? i dont know if i want to even upgrade anything thing with the engine of the evo, it can and will toast most normal cars on the US...but we'll see...i seriously cant wait untill the evo gets here, i am a little dissapointed though, when they changed the release from fall to next spring...oh well..

boost controller is a very valuable asset and very inexpensive, but than again it would be best to do exhaust work too.

Opened myself to you, only to have the door shut. trapped in seclusion, inside this enclosure i find the real meaning of loving myself. Hurt from the force of your attack, but no more, never again. I would have given the world to you, but you were just too good for that. You brush me off and i only try harder, yet i refuse to be a part of your game this time. I dont hear you, your words, invisible, nothing but space to my eyes. You extend your hand, but i pretend not to see it, just like you pretended not to acknowledge me. Life sucks, thank you for making mine all the more clearer. Welcome to my world.

WHOA FREAK! chill the fuck out. first of all, just because i dont like the wrx, dont take it personally. its not like i said, hey man i hate your grandma or something. so chill. as i said, it was MY OPINION. i didnt say it was the word of god or anything. people get so friggin excited over stupid crap.... all i said was that i know of a lot of people personally (not over the forum) that have problems with their wrxs. it seems to be more the us version than the foreign version but what do you expect, its the us version haha. i didnt say the evos were perfect either, i just would prefer one to the wrx. as for my comments being silly, if you dont like them, DONT READ THEM. and dont lower yourself to my level by responding to them if they bother you so much. and if you want to sing the praises of the wrx, you know where to go. you wanna talk about evo greatness? you're in the right place. i am not going to argue further with you because personally i have better things to do with my life but if you dont than i pity you. thanks for sharing. buh bye now.

oh and by the way, in case you couldnt tell by the name, im a CHICA not a shortie. :right:

first off, $5 grand:

turbo back exhaust
tint
mild sound system
boost controller
ECU chip

next: can you put a blow off valve on the Evo VII? i read the PDF from mitsu and it says the turbo has a gas recirculation system to prevent flowback from entering the turbo (like audi has). this is what a blow off valve normally does, and you can't put a blow off valve on audi's turbo.

as for the STI, japanese price is $35-45 grand. so if you can JUST afford an Evo, you can't afford an STI.
