i never said i was serious about racing i said it was obvious who is an who isnt....if i were serious about racing then i would have invested in an old fiero and droped a 350 in it but im not id rather roll around hittin switches...i mean ur dont have one of those fast and the furious shift nobs do u?

hey joe...well i gues it's just a little odd then that you laugh at the guys who aren't serious about racing, b/c that's the category that you fall into:

full body kit
+ white 5 spoke rims
+ white calipers
--------------------
= show, not go

and no, i don't have a fast n furious shift knob, i have a Spoon sports titanium shift knob, it kinda fits with the B18C JDM ITR swap and Tein Flex coilover suspension system that I have going into my ride...i'm in the "go before show" category...i'll post picts for you around june 15th, so you see a completed "go" car...or just check out any of the guys in here with B16 or B18C swaps, or built D series...you might find out that the guys in here know A LOT about Honda's, imports in general, building/modding motors and setting up hybrids

well, post pics of your car and be prepared to get criticized. If anything, do what Kicker does. He never ever asks anyone on any of the boards what they think of his ride or what would look good on there or anything like that. He posts pics and takes the criticism as it comes. People are bound to get flamed one way or another, pretty much it's just how you take it.

yah....agreed with GS, you gotta have thick skin to hang around here, basically you shouldn't care if it's 1% or 100% of the people that like your set-up...it's fine to gather opinions, but just make sure YOU like what you're doing with your ride.

also, being a hyprocrite will get you flamed 100% of the time, cuz there's too many guys on here that have the time to call you out when yer being inconsistent...

What about people like myself who have been into "custom cars" in one form or another for a while and now I have a Civic but Im poor cuz I got a crapy job am married and have 2 kids so all I can do is little dink and dunk crap to my car and on top of that all I really car about is looks as in Im happy with a lowered car,rims and stereo and Im good I mean dont get me wrong I would like to upgrade in performance but only in a minor sense not a full engine swap etc. just becuz I would like to have a little bit more umph just for driving sake.....I guess what Im saying is Im not trying to be a "ricer" but would prolly be looked at as one even though racings not my thing but I just like the look of Hondas lowered or imports and it just happens that they are in the racing scene and known for that

It gets kind of old every dude driving by trying to act hard revving motor and mean mugging when all Im trying to do is listen to some music and go home but oh well I guess that just comes with the territory I just wish more people would be cool like peeps on this board but act that way in real life ...like helping a guy out with answers to questions and not trying to act hard 24/7 ..these are just some of my thoughts but I got mad respect for guys racing and just doing show cars I dont car I just like checkin out the cars
