that's because you got a camry, if you had a faster car I betcha you would. I was like you, I wasn't about racing either and thought it was stupid. I had a civic DX, probably just as slow. Then I drove the Maxima, I felt raw acceleration power, and had to get a faster car. I saved up and bought a 240sx, not exactly a fast car, but a hell of a lot faster than my Civic. And now I am all about speed...

I hate to be an @$$, but I have to go with Toksin on this one. The law is the law and from events in my life that deal with street racing any law regarding illegal street racing is NOT stupid. I come from a family of law enforcement officers and they are NOT out to kill anyone's fun. They are out there to protect the peace, safety and citizenry of a community and therein lies the problem. Many guys out there choose to interpret fun as street racing whether it be on desolate black top in the middle of nowhere or on the freeway bobbing in and out of traffic like complete idiots.

Whether or not I get flamed for this is no big deal, but for those folks who want to flame me because I'm talking about respecting the law go ahead you're just proving my point. You're proving why those of us who try and go about things in a legal way are STILL looked down upon from police to everyday folks. No law that prohibits jackasses driving their cars like complete idiots for the sake of "fun" is stupid and if you think it is then you my friend are just personifying the stereotype of a brainless street racer.

I've lost two very close friends who chose to have fun. You can ask their families what they think about so called "stupid" laws prohibiting "fun."
