Re: do all 97-01 vtec ludes have 200 hp

yeah here in australia, there is either 5th gen auto or manual vtir whihc is the 195-200 hp and there is a si version which said it has 133 kw. thats around wat, 160 hp. i thought the 5th gen prelude only came with the 195 and over hp.

so when i am lookin for the prelude i have to get the vtir which is vtec 195-200 hp. really i dont care is the tip tronic auto is crap. cause i dont really drag much. i mean mybe just for fun but here in australia, no one really drags much, unless it is an event of scheduled. but yeah, remember, my car is currently a 5th gen civic sedan auto vtec sohc. thats 125hp. when i buy the prelude vtir, that is enormous hp for me. plus, my whole family is auto. so if i buy a manual, that they cant use it. so i dont care

as long as, the 5th gen prelude is vtec, and are over the 195 hp. that all.

but here is the stat of the power from a australian used car site whihc gives the power of the car in kilowatts
97-01 prelude SI is approx. 133kw (approx.160 hp)
97-01 prelude vtir approx. 147 kw (approx.195-200)
what i dont understand, did u guys from USA get the si version.
what do u guys call the 195-200 hp versions. her its vtir.
i will definetly get the vtir auto.

Check the Spec thread in the FAQ, guys. I wrote up all the specs for USDM/EDM/ADM/etc.
