I mean that's not a whole lot (330 something cubic inches to 346)

Nope, 4.6/280cid. Same as the other Mustangs. So a bit undersized when compared to the LS1/LS6 motors.

10-4 then.

Ah, the LS1 is NA though and not forced inducted, so that offsets the displacement advantage.

Ooh.. I knew all that.. I just thought you meant that a live axle in the cobra woulda helped him in this race.

Not in the video though. I'm comparing the LS6 in that video to the Mustang motor. It can run less boost and be as quick b/c of the displacement advantage it has.

Well i dont know why I said LS1 and I was thinking stock vs. stock instead of what was in the video, lol. Anyways, you'd have to watch how much boost you did run on the LS6 becuase it has high compression (for a stock engine that is) so if they run too much boost they would blow it up.

It doesn't matter though, it was a good race. Looked like the Vette got him by about half a car or so (hard to tell with the camera). And that was a 2001 Z06, and I believe they just had 385 hp stock, so do the same thign that's been done to that car to a new one (405 hp), and it SHOULD, dont mean it woudl though, make more rwhp.

Ain't there a Mustang that does use the 5.4 s/c engine though? I thought it was teh SVT Cobra, but you're right, it has the 4.6. Is it the Cobra R that has the 5.4??

yeah there is a 5.4 stang, they didn't produce many of them and you got it. The Cobra R, I don't believe they supercharged that one though, think it was putting out the same power as the current 03 cobras or pretty close 385.

Yeah, and you had to have a competition racign license to buy one. They were full on race cars, that were 'street' legal. I saw one the other day at Sunset Ford where they were unvailing the 2005 Mustang GT.

Pretty good lookin car.

Damn straight, Superchargers whining is what I wake up to on the way to school in my car. I love them as well. Thanks for someone actually posting two domestic cars on here instead of little imports arguing over who has more torque, even though I put over double theirs down.
