come to think about it.....my first race was in my NX2000 aginst my moms V6 MPV....was a good race and she was in the lane where the road ends...long story short...we were side by side and the end of the roads was coming up and i slowed to let my mom over....she thinks she won...i just let her win

hmm.. my first race i was in my old 95 accord EX 5spd against a dodge stratus. It wasen't a bad race but i pulled away from him after i got some dang traction.

94' ex civic with header, cat back, intake and I beat him by about a car length. He talked a lot of $hit like I wasn't good enough before hand so i felt good about it.

Your bragin about beating a v6 camaro? thats not even a real camaro and if you only beat him by that mutch then a ls1 would eat you.

my first race in my (new to me) 1996 eagle talon TSi AWD was against a 199X turbo integra. was a pretty good run until i let of the brake and hit the gas and raped him

my first race was against a pretty much stock civic. it had rims but thats as far as i could tell, no exhaust though. iv got a c1500 chevy ext cab with a 350. it was stock at the time and i never ran it off the line b4 so my start wasnt to great i spun alot but i eventually caught up with him and got about 1 or 2 car lengths if front of him. iv come to realize i should put it in first when racing bc it ahrdly spins tires and iv also come to realize that my truck is a 4 speed with no top end, i get to about 90 mph and its redlining, i sure am glad i got a tach because b4 that i was rollin over my speedometer and well way past red line.

My first race was against a 1973 Ford Pinto. I was driving a '73 GMC pickup running a 6 banger with "3 on the tree". We decided to go "Best 2 out of 3".

First run: He kicked my @$$!

Second run: He yanked his shifter completely out of the floor when he went for second gear!

Third run: There wasn't one because the other guy was holding his shifter up in the air with a "WHAT THE F*#K" look on his face.

So,....I guess you could say it was a tie!

My first race was with my 1930 Model A Ford with a Raja OHV converted 4 banger with 2 Stromburg 97's against a 1939 inline 6 cylinder Chevy. I won but lost later that night to a 1941 flathead Ford.
That was thousands of races ago.

my first run was a solo since I got to the track real early on a test and tune day and everyone else but the bikes was still prepping their cars. First run next to an actual car was against a Z06, he beat me 12.75 to a 15.9 I think in that run.

My first race was against a 93-97 Camaro Z28, in my 2000 Camaro SS We both got lined up by chance at a stop light. While I was eyeing up his car, he purged some NOS. I know the LS1's are faster then the LT1's, but what about LT1 with nitrous? I figured what the hell. The light went green, we both got great launches, just a small chirp from the tires, and we took off, at first gear he was at my quarter panel, second gear right at my door, third gear, right at my back bumper, then an Escort pulled out in front of me while I was doing 120, I had enough time to change lanes, but my natural reaction was to slam on the brakes. By the time that situation was done and over with, the Z28 was a few car lenghts ahead, and I couldnt catch up. Cool guy, we both had the biggest shit eatin' grin youve ever seen. lol

BTW i have a 4L60E
also BTW, a 3.4L was never offered in a 98 camaro. Only pre 97s.

First time out to the track I lined up against a mid-late 90's Civic. Driver had his helmet on and the car was on slicks. All I remember is that I had no idea what I was doing! lol Went past the final staging line then too far in front. I kept looking back at the track official for help and I finally saw the guy pointing ahead and yelling "GO! GO!" - I turn and see the Civic already gone (like 2-3 cars) so I just floor it and hold on. I ended up getting in front of the guy at the last second, pulled off a 13.8 @ 101 Mph. What a rush!

My first race was against a fellow Grand Am. Mine's a 2001 GT with a few mods, and I was racing against my friend's 94 GT with exhaust. We had been wanting to line em up for quite a while, but had never gotten the chance - so after school one day we went out and started with a rolling stop on a straight country road, and raced to about 70 MPH. By the time I was at 70, I was easily 3 to 4 car lengths ahead. I braked and slowed, and of course my friend did the classic "ricer fly-by" LoL. I destroyed him and it felt good - we both had a great time nonetheless.
