Re: anyone wanna buy a 3000 stall

the first gear for a 400 is a 2.48 and a 350 is a 2.52 so the 350 would actualy get you goin better. but the 400 can just take more power when compared in stock form. i have a 350 behind my engine that was built before i got it with a 73' el camion, dont ask me why the guy put a built trany in that cuz the enginge was stock. but anyway, i didnt even know there was a 350 that uses a lockup converter, you learn something every day. as for the size of your converter ridge, i think he's refering to the nuber of inches in diameter. thats the only size that converters use besize the stall speed. it should be 10, 11, or 12 inches probably. and actualy you said it is dark bule and i believe that it could be a B&M converter then. dont hold me to that but i think thats what color alot if not all of there converters are.

ya. A lock up turbo 350 is abbreviated TH-350c. I currenty have a 2200-2600 stall in my nova, but i am wanting something a little higher. I have a lockup turbo 350 in my nova, and they are a BITCH to find stalls/shift kits for and all that stuff. If you can find anything out about it, and it is for a lock up 350 i would be very interested in it. I hope to move to a 700, or a turbo 400 pretty soon though so...

Rob

Re: anyone wanna buy a 3000 stall

hey rob, i will get back to you with the info im tryin to get a hold of the person i got it from, and if your planning on making a high horse car i would stick with the th350 or go to 400, i mean the 700r4s have an awsome 1st gear, but there not that strong of a tranny

Re: anyone wanna buy a 3000 stall

well i think stock you can go to like 400-450 ft.lbs. without a problem. its kinda like the 400 in reguards to the 350. the 400 being a stronger than the 350. the same is kinda true with the 2004R and the 700R4. but properly built you can do anything with almost and trans.
hey ridge, are you gunna get that converter for your 700 off hypsi?
