i doubt you'll have much luck with jb weld. you'd have to grind all the paint off the area and get a real clean surface. do you have access to a mig welder? i think your pan is steel, and if you drain all the oil out and take your time doing a series of spot welds you shouldn't have a problem with heat or catchin anything on fire

Re: A hole in the Oil pan

well if its not a huge hole the jbweld should hold up for a while, but i would still plan on replacing the oil pan,do you have access to like a base hobby shop??

well i sanded and got rid of all the paint and shit around the hole.. the hole is about the side od a pencil eraser.. maybe even smaller... i drained all the oil out..(well what was left) and took a torch to the area i was jbelding, to get rid of any grease and oil.. then i sanded it again..
To take out the oil pan.. which is only 60 bucks at napa.. the engitre suib frame has to come out.. either that or i have to lift the engine out. i do work in a garage.. but my boss would never let me tie up a bay to do that job, even so... i live 3 miles away from work and id have no way of getting it there... if this jbweld dosent work im just going to mig weld it..(or is it tig weld?)
