I highly agree unless you plan on doing a motor swap with a larger VTEC motor later on. Engaging the VTEC earlier on a SOHC yields minor and almost unnoticeable gains. The SAFC can be used to monitor your O2 sensor output signal and provide you a reading that can be translated to the same output of a AFR gauge.

EX's come with a SOHC vtec. But you wont feel the vtec in sohc's they were made for fuel economy not performance. The only way you could have a b series motor in that car is if someone did a engine swap already. If it is a b series motor it will say either b16a (si), b18b1 (ls integra), b18c1 (gsr), b18c5 (usdm itr), or b18c (jdm itr). But don't buy a vtec controller, spend your money somewhere else. After you find out what motor you have, it would be eisier to give you advice as to what rout to go.

that's exactly true Need more info on what the exact motor is inside of the car. Get us the engine code
