Re: I need help bad, electrical issues making my hair gray!

i was wondering if you ever checked the connection where the wires plug into the firewall. i once had a buick and it had the same kind of problems your car has, it turned out to be that plug. some of the connections were corroded or just dirty.

Re: I need help bad, electrical issues making my hair gray!

Im thinkin if it wont fire might be something to do with fuel flow.
Could change the fuel filter if it hasent been done in a while. 15000 miles (20000 Km) or every year is good.
Or may be something with your (sic) fuel pump.
Any idea if this occurs with your tank near low? Or is it at any time?

Re: I need help bad, electrical issues making my hair gray!

I havent check'd any connections on the firewall, i thought the wires just went through some bushing for weather proofing and protection from the metal. i'll check that out, i havent had it running long enough to run it low in fuel since this problem started, i did check pump fuses and swaped the fuel pump relay with one out of my buddy's car "same exact relay", and that didnt do anthing, and i can hear my fuel pump turning on with the ignition and stopping a few seconds later, "like its building up pressure and waiting for the engine to start." I also seem to get plenty of fuel @ the fuel rail pressure check-point. but i dont have a gauge to check actuall amount of pressure. I also checked all injectors, and found one reading only 6.5 ohms, so i replaced it. and that didnt change anything.any tips on what wires could be shorting out to or from the fuel pump? or what kind of voltage or resistance i should have? Thanks again for the great tips, and i'll get out and see what i can find.
peace,

I believe you may have a crank sensor problem. In all of your previous posts, I haven't seen you mention it. It's a simple job and a common no start issue on 2.8 and 3.1's
